Since you're such a Canon buff, I'm really after a Canon 24-105mm L IS USM lens. What's your best price?:p
#4
I have this camera and it is excellent..... :)

£342.59 at argos and yes read the notes further down and it does say it is the IS lens .

24-105 l is lens £799 http://www.t4cameras.co.uk/index.asp?pname=/moreinfo.asp?id=2035

Thats a great argos price!

I did have a look, couldnt see the IS bit for it though, and if you click on the picture, the lens doesnt say IS either.

If it is the IS lens then that must be the best price out there, great find!

thats why i said look in the description it mentions the IS lens in there and yep it seems an amazing price . I have the 450d and it is superb, but to be honest not really worth £140 more for 2 meg more pixels 9 point auto instead of 7 and a slightly larger screen, i'd go for this one

I went back again to check, the canon is listed with both lenses (http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001501&langId=-1&searchTerms=canon+1000d) which i didnt realise before, so yes you're right, great find!

looking at reviews, you also sacrifice raw shooting speed in the 1000D compared to the 450; 1.5fps against 3fps - guess it depends what you are after, but if you have a 3 second window to shoot wildlife in raw mode, one camera returns 4 or 5 shots against the other's 9 (jpeg still gives 3 fps however)

None anywhere in Argos. Drat.

Does the argos one still include IS lens?
