Just been into Asda to pick up some cheap ps3 titles and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this "roll back"

This must be a scorcher, I cannot find this online and the store where spotted this was Fosse Park, Leicester.

Post for availability in other stores would be most welcome (to help fellow HUKDers)

Oh yes, bring on the heat! Almost tempted as a second body at this price (sell the lens), looking out for a bargain on 50d right now (plus just bought the ps3 deal posted last night!)

Agreed, fantastic deal for those starting out though

I have a Nikon D5000 but this is an excellent price for a VERY good camera.

Love how it has been expired yet there is clearly an image of proof and a location where stock exists. I wish this place had something to say who has expires all these threads. Just the usual batch of idiots expiring to stop it being hot and others getting them.

Just spoke to a mate who finished his shift a few hours, who works at the Reading store and he tells me this this a misprice and should only be applicable to the discontinued Canon EOS 10D. Someone's getting fired at Leicester.

Do you mean you didn't spot (notice) the person in the picture, or do you mean to say that person WASNT THERE when you took the picture?

Cos if it is the latter I dont think I am going to sleep tonight!

Still a misprice that appears to be a good price in at least one store.

10D? That's been discontinued for 4 years, do they still have stock of those?

Reading store has 1 which was ex-display. I imagine it's pretty limited and if there's more of these 1000Ds, I'm heading down to Leicester tomorrow. Paid £450 for mine last July. =/

Since the 10D was replaced in August 2004 by the 20D, I very much doubt this.
Asda wouldn't have 6 year old stock left.:?

And still another one in stock about an hour ago
and woman at customer service said 28 day no quibble
money back warranty if returned in sellable condition

very weird if you can buy one @12.10am, I just called my nearest store they cannot even check the stock for me until 9am. Said the camera department is locked up and no one have access to the lockers outside 9am-9pm
Will try to ring a few stores nearby and update

btw what is the ps3 game offer? I cannot find anything

*Update* There might still be 1 stock in Trafford store (Manchester)
Called in the morning to ask for a very nice gentleman to put it aside to hold for me until tomorrow, but I do not think I have any free time to travel to Manchester this week.
It is indeed 247 quid. It might have gone by now, I would suggest you to call 0161 748 5841 ask for camera department to make sure before travelling.
Hope this makes someones day!

minworth advise they no longer have stock of this :(

Seems like a very limited offer unfortunately - clearing old stock :(

Paul

Minworth and Fosse park - the singles they had in stock have gone.
No stock anywhere in the midlands or south west as far as i can see - have called upwards of 50 stores :(

Think i might give up now!!

A friend was after a relatively cheap DSLR, his price range is roughly aimed at a 2nd hand one, this would of been spot on for him. Anyway I called up bradford asda store and they said they didnt stock these... oh well.
#30
Guys,

Anywhere in Northern Ireland?
#31
None in Stevenage.

OH's birthday in a few weeks and she wants a DSLR for her photography course in September, would have been perfect, oh well.
#32
Bit off topic but just been told by dad hes going to give his 5D mk1 to me as hes switching to Leica.
Is there any significant improvement in 5D mk2? i.e. should I consider to sell the 5D and get a mk2?
#33
it says there only £297 anyway so your only saving £48 off the retail

I don't think that there is anywhere that you can get the 1000d for £297 even.
#35
Hey all, I managed to pick one of these up on the weekend. I went to Asda and seen it for £249, so I went to currys and see if they would match it as they had it for £369.99. So they phoned up the Asda and after getting through, they said that they would match as it was in stock. But then noticed that they offer an extra 10% off the difference, so asked for this and reluctantly they said yes, so I had the camera for £237.99 in the end which was a bargain price for this camera. So stock is still around.
#36
My wife managed to pick the last one up from Asda in Havant.

She is now extremely thrilled, as am I for saving approx £120.

Many thanks to the poster.
