Canon EOS400D 18-55mm KIT Digital SLR Camera
Stock Code: 357388

£429.99 - 10% code (BIRTHDAY) = £386.99 + £4.95 Delivery = £391.94

Quidco is only 0.5%, i can confirm this as i ordered this morning and it only tracked £1.93, i have cancelled that order now and gone with paypal referral for 1% instead: https://www.paypal-offers.co.uk/ (£3.87)

Total via paypal referral = £388.07

3% off if you use an egg card, so would be about £380 with that.

You get £50 cashback from canon by sending your serial number and barcode and photocopy of receipt off to canon and they send you a cheque. so £342 or cheaper with paypal or egg card.

Brilliant deal, thanks hajj, you're a star!

Good price and voted hot for that reason but this camera has mixed reviews.

I'm still undecided between to Nikon d40 and Pentax k100d.

the camera itself doesnt really have mixed reviews, the lens is OK, but not great, but that can be fixed by getting a better lens. You can buy a 50mm f/1.8 lens for £55 ish on ebay, just move forward or backwards to take a photo and the photos will be great or spend quite a bit of ££ on a Sigma 18-90mm f/2.8 DG EX, about £190 new or £120 ish on ebay.

Considering this.. :)
Isn't this the same camera/price that went red hot from Tesco's a few months ago?

Why so cold? :?

While I'm on the subject. I have an old Canon EOS 1000FN. This has a Sigma DL Zoom 35-80mm 1:4 - 5.6

If I buy a body only, will this lens do the camera justice? :prop:

im not sure whether or not that lens would fit a DSLR EOS or not, you'd have to ask on a camera forum, but f/4-5.6 is quite poor really, preferably you want a lens that is f/2.8 or f/2.8-4.6 ish, f/2.8 means its that quality whether you zoom in as far as you can go or not, those cost more tho. i paid £338 after cashback for this camera which includes the lens, i posted a deal for the base only a few days ago, it either expired yesterday or today, its from dell, £357 ish delivered. The lens wouldnt do the camera justice as the camera is amazing and the lens if it fit correctly would only be OK. i'd get the kit if i was you, if you are in no rush wait until amazon bring it back down to £399.99, cashback doesnt finish until new years eve, so would be £350 after cashback. Or wait for another deal like this to appear, dixons and currys charge the same so whenever the next 10% code comes up buy 1 then, think you get alot of quidco from currys too.
