Apply Discount Code "JDSLRJ00" to make it 403.
Canon Cashback-50
Quidco-8 (probably)

Final Cost to you: 423-20-50-8 = 345.
Cracking Deal. Hope this is of use to someone.

PS: If u wanting the kit lens, you could get it on ebay for maybe 30quid. Anyway, I'd recommend bying this(just the body), and getting a good lens. PM me for Lens suggestions and deals. (Been researching a lot, so I could be of help)

At checkout, it says that this item can be reserved to collect at store. Not sure if the price would apply tho.

Great find. This is one great camera.

I would also recommend the Canon EF 50mm f1.8 prime lens which you can get for around £60 for this camera to compliment the 18-55 kit lens. This lens is sooo much sharper and makes for much better creative pictures...

great deal for those who missed the tescos deal.

Hello

Does anyone know would you still get the Quidco 3% if you reserve online and pay in the shop?

Jessops take your card details during checkout but this is only for id purposes. You will confirm the transaction in store with your pin number.

I guess you wouldn't but worth asking. :?

Thanks

Guys, any idea why the heat has not gone up much on this deal?
And will it ever make it to the front page at all?

was seriously wondering if something was wrong or not working.
Ideas please guys, as I've no clue whats happening?
Cheers

Only thing I think that's worth noting is that Jessops share price has dropped 90% over the last few months after 4 warnings given that they are due to make heavy losses. So if you can pick one up at a store I'd say you are safer but not too sure how long they'll be around to honour any warranties.

Well...that gives some food for thought.
reply much appreciated.
cheers.

Just to let you all know that their extended warranties are underwritten by Domestic & General, so if you are thinking of taking the warranty with your shiny new 400D you can rest assured that it will be intact and useable should the worst happen to Jessops themselves.

Now £419.95 minus £20 (code JDSLRJ00) +

the Canon £50 cashback +

Quidco

Just slightly cheaper!

Fab, thanks for this. Was a bit gutted at missing the Tesco deal. Just ordered one from Jessops for £399.95 (inc £20 voucher) and off to pick it up this afternoon.
Now just need to order the Lowepro Slingshot 200, some Sandisk Extreme III memory and decide on what lens to get (thinking about the Sigma 18-200mm one after reading a couple of not so good reviews on here of the 300mm version).
#17
Bryn, you should find most of what you are after from here: http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/

I can also recommend onstop-digital as a good source for camera lenses. Especially the Sigma 70-300mm APO lens.

Sandisk Extreme III memory.

Good Choice....retails for 17.99 at Play +2 % quidco

bryn
Sigma 18-200mm

Very Cost effective for the zoom range.

You could also consider this:
Canon 17-85mm IS USM Lens.
Retails for 530 at Jessops.

Get them to pricematch with Warehouseexpress.com, etc...for 340-350.
Then claim cashback of 100 quid rom Canon.....
Effectively less than half the retail price....:w00t: from 530 to 240-250.

Good Luck with the Photography again.
Cheers.

Thanks ksrc24, i've now updated your op to state the lower price of £399.95 :)

I am having problems adding the QuidCo voucher as well as the JDSLRJ00 voucher. When I put one in the other is deleted. Any suggestions?

Thanks

This deal is great for the body only, but not so good for the black body with the lens - Jessops will price match prices listed in magazines, and the 400D is listed in Photography Monthly for £470 with the lens, so this deal works out only slightly cheaper than that.
#22
The lenses are going for around £30 new on ebay, so your cheapest option would be to buy the camera body from Jessops and get the lens off ebay.
#23
I think the code "JDSLRJ00" has stopped working now (and they have slightly reduced the price of the black model with the lens kit).

I've just tried and it worked fine.

#25
yeh, sorry it seems to be working again now - for the body only, but not for the lens kit.

got mine last week from jessops newcastle ....

originally tried for the tesco one .. but missed it ... and saw the
camera body post here for £399

went down to the newcastle city centre branch last monday to pick it up and they'd sold out ... even though it was reserved online. The young guy there was very apologetic and asked if i'd accept the full kit one at the same price so I said yes ( :whistling: ), and asked if I could have the special edition silver one ... he said ... as I've been such a good customer and even though its supposed to cost more .. I could have it for £399 ... :w00t:

I'm impressed with jessops, he even told me about the £50 voucher offer ......

Hey guys, just tried to get this deal...

I type in the discount code and it registers (as in, it says £20 off Canon 400d) but it does not take any money of the total price?!

Also, I tried to buy it (checkout) but it still did not deduct the money!

Helpppppp :)
#29
Please help somebody!
