I've not heard of this tradeup scheme before, does it normally get users more than just selling their old equipment via auction etc? :)

That's not what I was asking though, and the PDF you linked to is a list of stores with no other explanation of the scheme :)

I was asking if trading it in would get you more money than selling via eBay for example.

I'm guessing it probably doesn't otherwise lots of people would be trading in to get new SLR equipment rather than just selling their bits on auction sites and forums.
