You shouldn't include cashback in the price.

That maybe the rule however if the end price is not in question I feel it's best to do so as it is the price you'll have to fork out.

Youll have to fork out £569.xx and then get refunded the £50 at a later date so although it's preety much guarenteed, it should'nt be used in the price:oops:

I was thinking about sony a550, canon 500d and pentax k-x
I checked (all) reviews and decided go with pentax k-x, u can attached old lensys, and got good price, enev better specyfication than nikon or canon

for info, the sony cameras also work with the older Minolta AF lenses and benefit from having their IS on board the camera - or you can also attach older M42 lenses with a suitable adapter.(loads out there btw, including some great CZJ primes)

Great review site - gives really detailed analysis of camera and does a really useful comparison of the D500 with the D50 and the Nikon D5000. Many thanks for the link!

By the way, in end I went for the Nikon D5000 which is cheaper and despite having a fewer Megapixels (12.3 as opposed to 15) actually produced better quality pictures. That fact that I've got some old Nikons whose lenses I might be able to use was also a factor.
