Cheapest price by £200. Still way out of my price range but may benefit someone. Body on its own retails for £1599.99.

I know to some this may seem OTT for a camera but to those who know the difference between FF and Crop then this will be appreciated.

how much better is something like this? i am just getting into photography and have a D90 with a handful of lenses, I would be interested to know just how much of an impact something like this would make?

well its full frame for starters, bigger sensor so in theory your pics should be better if used properly but it depends how serious you are....i have a 400d and will upgrade sometime (but prob not a full frame unless they come down to under £1K) but im in no rush as its fine for 90% of my pics, the other 5% of pics are catered for by point and shoots like my panny tz10 where lugging a big camera just isnt worth the hassle (ski slopes for example), so i just accept the quality loss......so for me the ff camera would satisfy the remaining 5%, for me the extra cost is just too much and i invested in a decent lens instead for now (24-70L pro) and accept im not using that lens to its full potential but its fine, im not a serious photographer i just want decent quality pics

but if you are serious you wont regret it, good deal

sports photographers or wedding photographers will use at least this spec camera or nikon equivelant.....though sports photograhers make me laugh as you know that most of them dont own the kit the way they treat it......saw one who had a whackling big lens on it 400m+ L pro one with a ff canon body and just left on the wet mud...good way to treat £10K+ worth of kit

If your just starting out, get your technique down on your perfectly good d90. There are many advantages to full frame, lower noise, wider angle, greater bokeh for portraits. But here are downsides too. I went to a 5dm2 from a 20d & shoot raw, the raw shots are 25-30mb each! which means you can fill a 4g card with 130 shots. Also the sensor is much more unforgiving to slight off focus and tiny camera shake (which is why it's worth getting your technique spot on first). I've never regreted moving to the 5dm2, i've owned from launch, 3 years, and there still isn't another camera i'd want (not bad for a digital camera where tech moves so quick)

think ill stick with my D90 for now, thanks for he reply Royals & Sbadger, I am serious about photography and it takes up most of my free time, have only been doing it for a couple of months but I already love Photoshop and use that on a daily basis so that makes life allot easier, I can always get the shot I want even if its not with the camera, but I want to be allot more competent with the camera and was wondering how much actually comes down to the camera, think I just need allot more field time!! thank you!

Amazing price (even then I'll never be able to afford it :p) but seems out of stock now and back up to normal price.

I use 3 5D mkII's for my job. love the camera. Have pretty much used all of Canons range of DSLR's and just find the 5D is perfect for my use.

I've actually moved over into video using these cameras now and take less and less photos.

Shame this price has gone up on this, this would have been a steal

I have a 5d... my intention was to upgrade to a 5d mkii but seeing as I blew £1,850 gambling in the past fortnight I will have to stay put.

This is a good price as the 24mm-105mm lens is really sharp.

it's an incredible camera, my friend used it to shoot a full length movie.
This also suggests its pretty damn good:

I would like this camera, but it's far too expensive for me.

amazing piece of equipment. just did an advert up a mountain and they used one of these to save carrying a dolly up a hill. wish i could justify spending the money on one
