When you’re ready to advance your photography choose to Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority or Manual mode for complete control over your images.

Low-light performance
Take great pictures even in low light, shooting without flash to capture the true ambience of an occasion. The EOS 700D features an ISO sensitivity range of ISO 100-12800 (extendable to ISO 25600).

Great results in difficult conditions
HDR Backlight Control mode captures three different exposures and combines them into one, retaining shadow and highlight detail. The EOS 700D’s Hand Held Night Scene mode captures multiple images at fast shutter speeds and blends them together for a blur-free result.

Doesn't make any sense as they're losing money that way.

when you use amex card they will refund £50 for only for one transection. you can get only £50 for the three transection.

Hmmmn...

I purchased a 'collect in store' order today and split the payments over two Amex cards and received 'redeemed' confirmation emails for both transactions.

However, whether you can make multiple transactions on a single card and receive more than one £50 cashback is very debatable. No-one on the Amex thread has confirmed this yet - so this bargain is very theoretical.

And no bb8 - it hasn't been tried and tested. I suggest you try and let us know the result.

That makes sense.

Multiple cashback on one card not really.

They always have unlimited use when they specify "Offer valid every time"

Perhaps there is an option to buy vouchers at Jessops or charge type card that you can purchase at Jessops over 3 days using the same Amex card (if multiple purchases are allowed) and use those to purchase the camera once complete?

Does anyone actually have Amex. A card few retailers accept.

American Express Credit Cards are excepted at pretty much every place Visa & MasterCard are with the exception of small independent retailers and charity shops.

American Express Charge Cards & Diners Charge Cards are accepted hardly anywhere.

People get these confused all the time.

I have an Amex Credit Card and never think twice about using it, have only ever been told it wasn't accepted at a small independent shop in a fishing village.

Welcome to 2016, where amex is accepted in majority of stores.

After Jessops came back from the dead (so to speak), the guys in store said they no longer took Amex. Been ordering online with PayPal to get round this - anyone any idea when this changed?

According to the Jessops worker I spoke to yesterday they only just started accepting Amex in the last couple of days.

I don't have an Amex card, is £404 a good deal for this?
#17
Wow, I wish I had an Amex Card. If anyone wants to get this and I'll give them £200 + my Canon 1000D with 18-55mm lens let me know (so you get an SLR for £50 and I get an upgrade).

I'm in NY right now but would be happy to meet in London and do this - I'll be back on the 20th

I'll be trying this today, will let you all know how I get on. I did call the store to ask and they said it should be fine.

For reference, I have 2 Amex's so I'll switch between the 2 to split up the transactions.

I went into Oxford Street the other day and they were more than happy to split transaction across multiple Amex cards. They really wanted me to buy the camera. :D

Just bought 2 cameras, will let you know how I get on. I split the transaction 7 times! They were more than happy to do it.

Also, got 7 emails from American Express saying I have redeemed the offer.

I will await the cashback before doing anything otherwise return them!

No risk and worth it if you have the time, a car, willing to pay for parking and petrol. No guarantees, but worth a punt as they say.

I bought a Canon 750d and 760d. They also have Canon cashback and also Jessops are giving an additional £50 off per camera!

Great spot, will be buying mine on Monday as there is no store near me.

Fair play to the OP for this cashback idea. In regards to Amex it's not just small businesses that refuse Amex. I had an Amex company credit card for 8 years and found at least 50 percent of the time it wasn't accepted. Many Airlines, hotels and national restaurant chains also don't accept it because it's the highest cost to the retailer.... Other than diners club obviously. We ended up moving to a Mastercard and I've never had a problem since.

Generally speaking, they are charged a percentage based on the value of the transaction. So probably no biggie to them as it's pretty much the same as if it was 1 larger transaction.

I'm in Leeds, so it's a bit far unfortunately :(

Also it looks like I way undervalued my 1000D, seems to be worth about £100-150.

This seems like a better deal, £20 more with a 75-300mm lens as well.

here is the link, http://www.canon.co.uk/cashback/current-cashback/ , they give £70 for 750D & 760D , and £40 for 700D , post #26 has better deal anyway if you are after one more Lens

If the transaction splitting really works, it would be best deal

Well mine technically was 2 cards, with 7 transactions over both. So, 3 transactions on 1 card and 4 on the other.

I purchased this today but added an accessories bundle to take it over £600. Paid 2 X £150 transactions on one card, then 2 X £150 transactions on a different card. All 4 transactions tracked straight away (email from Amex). Hopefully all goes through fine.

Just found this tonight which I missed so I'll go back to the shop and speak to them. Basically £10 more than the link above but get the accessories bundle included. Would have had £50 to spend on something else had I gone for this instead.

So, to confirm to you all that my cashback has come through from Amex for £200 on each card. So a total of £400!

Seems as though some prices have changed so be careful when purchasing and be thrifty about whether the deals are good or not.

Purchased the 1300D, two lenses, 3 year insurance WITH Free Tripod and 32GB SD Card for £484, the guys at the Oxford Street branch were great, they split the invoice into three which meant that I got back £150 from Amex using same card, received confirmation email more or less immediately, plus another £20 Canon Cashback which brought it all down to £314 - BARGAIN. Well done Amex

Thanks for this, I ended up purchasing a Nikon 7200 with 5 transactions and cash back for 465. Seriously helpful salesman who laughed about splitting up the payments.

5 emails from Amex already.
