Best price I've ever seen for this camera for genuine UK sellers (not a grey import)... its a great camera if you are looking to upgrade from mid-range canons

Where???? Was it an import?

I can guarantee you won't have seen it for £779! This is DEFINATELY the cheapest you will get a non-grey import 7D. Sure you can get an import for cheaper but i'd prefer not to risk it!

Well we might be in a global market, but if it's a grey import and something goes wrong you won't have a warranty to fall back on. Canon UK (or Europe) won't touch them with a bargepole.

Well where do I start . . how long is a Canon Warranty? 1 2 3 or 4 years? ONE year? . .most retailers offer ONE YEAR RTB even the "Grey seller" ( who are overseas companies selling from their UK or European centers) they offer the same warranty in fact, some offer up to 3 yrs but lets say your camera has a fault after one year, and it's out of warranty, you send it to be repaired its still going to cost you the same to repair Grey or no Grey, the difference is, you have saved upwards of a £100's depending what you have bought. So lets not dismiss the imported goods. . . I know I got a good deal at £409 for my Canon 550D . . And Thats what we are all looking for

can you post a link to the grey import here so I can get one before its deleted and can the grey market provide a 5DMKII and L glass? I'm new to grey imports so wanted to ask...

you have to do a little research and decide what you looking for .. a camera outfit with a lens? if so what lens? or body only and then look for the lens you would like and only then you will get the feel what is a good price. . . Sometimes you will see a certain configuration of camera & lens which offer very good value . . . As for good companies who sell a good range of canon ( imports) is http://www.digigood.com its a US company with uk sales distribution just looked at their sales and they have sold over 5 Canon 5D's in the past few weeks which is a good sign for value
but just keep looking just remember . . there is always someone somewhere selling it cheaper just a case of when and where

Great price for a UK supplied one. I wouldn't buy a grey import on a Canon Body either OP. Lenses yes, but they have an International Warranty, unlike the bodies. I got mine for around this price quite some time back, but it was a combo deal combined with cashback, so as a straight deal, this is excellent.

Ah!!! I'm always too slow to post these. Been watching a 7D for a while so have just bought one this morning as well as another 24-70 f2.8. Mrs will freak out when she gets home.

This is a great price for a straight deal. I would be very weary of buying a grey import, if something goes wrong you are in trouble. The companies can, and I stress can, be less than reputable if you read their feedback on review sites. But hey, its all up to whoever is parting with the cash. For £60 i'd rather buy from Amazon. At £779 which someone mentioned above I wouldn't touch it. We all like a hot deal but some things can be too good to be true.

Nice post OP.

Digigood are £1149 for the 7D, and I have purchased things from them before. They are a good ebay retailer in my experience.

I bought my 7D from Amazon today. The last Canon I bought was from Amazon in the US, and it did have a problem, and I ended up having to pay to have it repaired.

So no Grey imports for me any more.
