Looks like a good deal OK - still has full 1 year warranty and Distance Selling Rules apply if you are put off by the 'refurbished' bit.

To put the price in perspective, the 650D replacement released just a couple of months ago costs almost twice as much at around £700 odd.
Thanks - was looking to get this model. Yet again, I end up spending cash as a result of this site.....:)
Fantastic camera for this price, got mine last June via this website with cashback from TCB and Canon.
On another thread on HUKD a couple of people said this was not actually Canon (can't remember DigitalR-something) and they had great difficulty getting satisfaction when their gear went faulty. Also on another thread about this outlet, someone said they were sent the wrong camera. I just looked at the FB for this outlet and lo and behold (1st 200 FB page) two 5D Mk 2 buyers claim the wrong camera was sent. Startling considering its one of their more expensive cameras.
the eBay shop is run by a company called digital river. I have purchased two cameras including this one about 2 months ago from their ebay outlet and both have been superb.

Could not fault the service and delivery time
I'm really tempted by the 7D...... Seems a bargain @ £899
I posted the deal on Wednesday for the 600d from them for £19 more. I think that's a better deal. I ordered one and it arrived in 20 hours. In perfect condition and everything except the outer box (that was very slightly worn but I bought much worse condition from shops) was wrapped as new.
Anyone know where I can find the 60D for cheap?
Rebel is the branding used by Canon in the US, although they'll be functionally the same there could be warranty issues with Canon UK just on the fact it's the Rebel brand.

A long time ago I looked at a Minolta DSLR in California, the warranty was US only, if you want an international warranty it would be more. When I asked of Minolta UK they said they would not touch any non UK body so any servivce would be by a 3rd party. All in all I decided there was not enough saving to make it worthwhile.
Any Rebel branded body bought in the UK will only be serviced by Canon if supplied from them (their ebay store).
There are often cheap imports from HK or the USA but the warranties are not worldwide and you're reliant on the retailer for servicing.

This canon ebay store though are really good - products are good as new in tatty boxes for the most part, and as it's Canon direct (ok via Digital River) the warranty is not an issue.
600d is much better for another 20-30 more.. resist this..

I would not say it was "much better". It has better video features and a flip screen, that's about it. For an extra £30 it's not bad though. I bought 2 cameras from this dealer on ebay a few months ago. Easy to deal with and quick.

buhahaha- is that a joke or what? -refurbished cost 287 pounds so nearly 100 pounds cheaper than this 'deal' :

I reckon digital river is selling 550D's while the cheaper does seem to be selling Rebels so the above posts apply in that regard (they are not UK and likely USA). Also 90 day warranty vs 1 year. Myself? I'd still rather buy new. Would really like to know if the sensors are clean LOL small aspect of the deal but these are the things that would get under my skin.

The £287 "deal" is body only. No lens

No lens
Anyone know if this is any good for making movies? If not then can someone recommend something for making short films (broadcast quality) for around this price?
There is now stock available on this on again
