Also another 5% quidco on printers at pc world.

Any idea how much toners are for this?
#4
isn't this price really hot for a laser printer? seems so, or is there an issue of expensive toners?
#5
Checking a couple of places, around £50 for a replacement toner cartridge.... not cheap !!

Alternatively, you can use places like CartridgeWorld for cheap refill. :)

I got this printer 2 years ago for a score. It was 2nd hand from Staples it had a little scratch on it.

Let me tell you all how wonderful it is. I haven't had to change the toner as of yet. It is quiet and prints out very quickly. Even if it's double how much I paid I can assure you all that it is indeed worth every penny. It is small and compact very handy if you are short of space.

I was very interested in this printer but on checking the Canon website there is no Vista 64 bit driver for it.

says collect at store only??

From Quidco
"All collect at store enquiries must be accompanied by your reservation number. You must take the reservation number to the store and ask the PC World representative to process this number so it can be fully tracked. Collect at Store sales not accompanied by the reservation number will not qualify for cashback."

Anyone managed to do this and get it to work?

Is the 5% code working?

Should work on home delivery items.
#14
Can you get toner refills for these (not the actual cartridge but rather bottles?).
#15
code for 5% off won't work, and won't allow home delivery, just collect in-store
#16
although toner is expensive it lasts ages and doesnt dry up when not used in the same way inkjets do.

I've got one of these and it's a very good little laser printer.

I gave the inkjet to the kids and just use the B&W laser. I thought I would miss being able to print in colour but find I've never actually needed to since I got it.

Got mine from PC World at the beginning of the year when they were £49.99 but you also got a free genuine toner cart from Canon by redemption, they reckoned the RRP for the cart was £60: http://www.canon.co.uk/tonerpromotion/

I got excited until I saw 'FOR THE LBP2900, LBP5000 AND MF4010 THE PROMOTION RUNS FROM 17TH NOVEMBER 2007 TO 29TH FEBRUARY 2008. FOR THE LBP2900i THE PROMOTION RUNS FROM 26TH DECEMBER 2007 TO 31ST MARCH 2008.'

Ah well. Still, looks a good offer, voted hot

This was Computer Shoppers best buy in July issue for a mono laser printer, I really fancy a wireless printer though.
