I found this deal two days ago which the Black one is still available for £162.53! But they ran out of stock immediately after I bought mine so here is the only option now. (When I bought mine their website stated that they have 14 left...)

Great camera although it doesn't have custom mode, but the "smart mode" is smart enough for newbies and professional and it got good quality build.

I think there maybe a chance for them to restock the Black or Red one so you may want to keep an eye on it.

Canon is offering cashback on this model, please see the details below:

**£20 Cashback on purchases between the 31st March until 1st June 2011**

Good deal.

Also, if you live near a Curry's / PC World with stock, you can get a Canon Ixus 1000 HS with 10 x Zoom and 1080 video recording for £159.97 - £40 cash back from Canon.

Well but the 1000 HS has bad review on battery life... So I better go with the 220 HS...

I bought this camera a few weeks ago for £165 - just applying for the cashback now.

It's a great little camera - probably the best ixus Canon have released - it seems to have slipped under the radar though for most people.

Has a 24mm wide angle lens, 5x optical zoom, a CMOS sensor which gives very low noise high iso images and shoots full-HD video clips of 1920x1080 pixels at 24 frames per second in stereo sound.

Other features are too numerous to mention, but this is comparable to Sony's slimline CMOS cameras (eg TX5) but much better picture quality (none of that horrible smudgy watercolour effect).

An absolute bargain at this price.

At the end of the day I returned the 220HS and grabbed the 310HS. It is almost the same as 220HS but with touch screen.

May I ask why? Apart from a (much bigger) touch screen the 310HS doesn't offer much more than the 220HS. It's also bulkier and dearer.

Well... Cus I prefer the touch screen and I feel better when I am holding it. (220HS is too thin and 310HS is just right..)

Fair enough 8) Both good cameras. This thread should be hotter.

Gah just bought one of these from Jessops for £200! FML, need it for Saturday too, dammit all, least there's £20 cashback "woo!"...

Quite tempted to take it back and get the Jessops exclusive 117HS instead for £100 cheaper:
http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/80186/show.html

What do you guys reckon?, The specs seem almost identical, except for a few tiny differences I reckon it'd be practically the same, and those differences can't be worth twice the price surely!?:

Seriously wish I'd read this earlier:
http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/compact-digital-cameras/canon-ixus-220-hs-review-50003891/

Conclusion
"The Canon IXUS 220 HS is incredibly small and attractive, but it's otherwise unexceptional, despite being easy to use and offering a good selection of options to play with. Whether it's worth almost £200 depends on how much you value the design. If you don't think you can justify the cost, the IXUS 115 HS is worth a look instead."
