is this a brand new one for sure?
cheapest postage is £4.99 for 2-3days delivery...
but never heard of them before... anyone dealt with them previously?

edit: check this one... why is it more expensive when it is same camera +colour?

It's a very good price. So good, I actually think it's a misprice - all the other digital cameras on the site are way overpriced.

It is the same camera - they've just messed up on their website - as I said above, the OP's found a misprice. If you're considering buying the camera, I'd go for it quick.

Yes it is one of new Ixus models.

I bought a canon printer from them a couple of years ago. They seem to be a reputable company who get the occasional mention on here:thumbsup:

decided not to order...the terms and conditions looked slightly strange to me...ie if there is failed delivery they may charge for redelivery + insurance and storage costs...
also for returns, they charge 20% of sale price or £20 (whichever is the greater amount)
think i'll wait a bit more and see what the feedback from people who have placed an order...
#8
Isn't that in contravention of the Distance Selling Regulations? Assuming you send it back within 7 days.

Don't blame you those terms and conditions are ****, I wouldn't but anything from there. :whistling: Like the avatar but would be better if it wasn't a negative! :w00t:

£15 difference in the grander scheme of tihngs ISNT a lot when you are talking about a £150 camera

Insight have been around for a long time. Well before Ebuyer and around the same time as Dabs. I haven't bought from them in a long while though. ATT they were competitive.

I've been looking to buy an ixus for a while, so at this price I took a chance.

I had received the order confirmation a couple of days ago, and today I've received dispatch notification.

All looks good thus far.

That is quite handy. Looks like I may have a bargain after all. Doesn't seem to be many going for this surprisingly on the thread.

48 hours or so to receive dispatch email isn't unusual.

They have given a CityLink (courier) tracking reference. You can track job movements on the website and it is due to be delivered later today.

I am not sure why others are suggesting it is a refurb, but if that is the case I will be sure to press for 100% of my money back.

Had a look at the Ts & Cs:
All goods returned in these circumstances (except where the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 apply, see Clause 13) will be subject to a handling fee of 20% of Insight's sale price for the goods, or £20, whichever is the greater.
so home users would still be covered by distance selling.

'Distance Selling' doesn't apply to businesses & doesn't apply to certain products (DVDs, CDs, food, etc if I remember right!) so this is saying "If you're a business or you buy CDs, there'll be a restocking fee". :)

price has gone up to £146.86 + p&p £5.86 (min) = 152.72
