Hot! :) Great camera...

Have also spotted this great low price on Amazon at the moment
Couldn't see any mention of free Lowe Pro camera pouch offer though?
Also, is there not a max of £3.50 (not 3.5%) claimable with Amazon Electronics purchases through Ecashback?

I paid Amazon £219 on 1st August. Do they have a price guarantee or do I have to use their no-quibble guarantee and send it back for a refund so that I can but it at the new price?

Oh dear. It's only a 30-day guarantee.

i bet if you send amazon customer services a mail, you will get the difference back, generally amazon are very good when it comes to this kind of thing. nothing ventured nothing gained!

I went for one in the end.

Just under "16 used & new available from £179.00"

There's a link on the line
"*Get a FREE Camera Case when you buy a selected digital camera. Excludes sellers other than Amazon.co.uk."

clink on that and add to basket before checking out. The price of the bag gets deducted on check out.

I ordered the extra memory from Play. It looks like I'll get the memory card before the camera, as Amazon's Free delivery means they just take ages over sending it out :x

Amazon refund the difference if the price drops within 30 days of purchase
to claim contact customer service by email with your order details,

Give them a bit of spin about being away and could not get to the PC or the Dog chewed through the modem cable.... bieng only 5 days I think your chances are good

Thanks Yatty, voted hot. I ordered one last night, great price!

Ixus 860 and 960 are out which could be why this has dropped. No one has stock of the new cameras until the end of the month'ish.

860 has a wide angle lens, ideal for indoors....
#15
Can be had for £172 elsewhere, but not with the free case.
#16
Would you mind sharing where you can get it for £172?

Jessops have the 860is at £299 and I read that it is an exclusive to them in the UK which seems suprising for a IXUS.

Paid £179 for Ixus 750 on 22nd of July. Went walking to my local Currys like an idiot. Must be the worst deal ever. It could be worse as they tried to flog me off a 1 Gb SD card for £28 (!) which I refused to buy. Ixus must be the best digital compact ever. Leaves Sony's Cybershot and other cameras far behind in every single department. I paid too much for my 750. Would have loved to buy this 950. The 1 Gb SD card can be bought for under £5 on eBay plus £3 shipping. The best compact digital money could buy. Heat added.

Look out for SD Sandisk Extreme III bargains on Play.com !

the 850 zoom starts at 28mm so if wideangle ie landscapes are your thing then choose this model,

The 950 has had better reviews regards picture quality it zooms to 140mm the 850 is only 105mm the 950 has face detection technology and is 8mp the 850 is 7mp

Hi,

Just to say that I have had the camera for 2 weeks now and I am very impressed with it so far. The picture and video quality are very good.

I went through ecashback and got £5.63 cashback as an extra bonus :-D

that is a really good deal, as I think tha camera is pretty good one! I checked - everywhere else either the price is bigger or the p&p is not free ;-)

My dad came back from his holidays and he'd seen someone with this camera so he wanted one.

Came straight here, found this thread after a search.

Just to let you know that even though it now doesn't state that the case mentioned above is free, my dad said to add it anyway.

When we entered the CC details the total dropped back to £179 and it said "promotion discount for 8.99"

Hotukdeals rocks!
