Superb - was looking at that model last week. Cheaper than buying replcement carts for my current printer, nice one!
#2
Is that a really good price? anyone has idea? I'm looking to buy a printer like this so please give me some advice.
#3
Canon printers have a good rep and Which! reports rate them as good quality and cheap to run long term. So for £24 quid that's pretty hot I'd say.
#4
Got a mate who wants a cheap printer, so can't imagine getting anything as good for such a low price.
Reserved for Boxing Day - THANKS!!

A Customer from Saint Louis, Missouri

Don't buy this multifunction printer if you have any version of Windows Vista. The installation CD will not work. You will have to go to the Canon website and download around 4 setup.exe files and even then it is not guaranteed to interface properly with your OS or hardware. There are known compatibility issues, unless you are a consumer such as myself. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is exactly why the manufacturer/distributor dropped the price per unit. Excessive supply due to decreasing demand upon the product launch of Vista

has anyone seen it working on VISTA, am about to buy it but i have vista and hence not sure to go ahead with it, please advice..

#8

You probably have to download the latest driver from the canon website.

There are drivers available for download from Canon for both 32 and 64 bit Vista:

So even if it isn't shipped with up to date software it is ok.

Why ask questions on these posts, Google it!
Epson, Canon, HP, £30 for any of their all in ones is great. Just Google the replacement ink prices.
#17

Video review on CNET hope this helps. Also reviews on Computer Shopper and PCPRO but if they are still available its a no-brainer.
Merry xmas

The ink seems quite a expensive for this printer £12 Black £12 colour.

Anybody know how many pages that would do (on average)?
#28

DAMN! I had been waiting so long for some good deals.. since I couldn't find one.... went ahead with eBuyer for MP210 which is £44.98 - £20 (cash back offer) = £24.98 .. I had to order a Flash Drive to get free shipping on Jan 3rd :( !!! *sob sob* !! And now this seems to be an advance version MP460 and just £24.99 !!!! Argos is near my home.. may be I should have waited for 1 day more !!! How silly !!! Awesome offer!! Heat added.. really missed this :( !!!

Cheer & Merry Xmas everyone!

Reserved to collect tomorrow.Thanks
#32
ouch...ink costs far too high!!
#33
Ink prices aren't cheap but read the reviews on Which! and other sites about how many page they produced on standard tests compared to HP, Epson, Lexmark. Long term this is relative a cheap inkjet to run.
#34
great price, reserved mine! thanks!
Doesn't seems to support network, does it?
#35
They also have another model

Canon MP 170 for £29.99:-D

http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500000701&langId=-1&searchTerms=MP+170&x=0&y=0

Looks like this has better scanning capabilities , better speed and weighs less, smaller foot print may be worth extra fiver!!!

No more than your average printer these days....there arent many printer that have cheap refills.
#37
Ahh sorry this is a single colour ink cartridge, its not as good as the canons with single ink on long term running costs. For £24 its nice etc good value but running costs might be worth thinking about.
#38
You can get double capacity refurb cartridges for £17.99 for a pair of black and colour.
#39
i'll just get a new one when my ink runs out - hardly use it anyway. have had my original one for 3 years now and it's only just run out of ink. not a big user, mainly use it for scanning - proof of documents, HOT!
