I reckon this is an excellent deal on a simple, top brand camera and would be great for your holidays, etc. if you're not a confirmed photography buff or gadget freak. Cheap enough as a spare to leave in your car, etc. And it has 4x optical zoom which is still rare on a cheaper camera . Excellent reviews, scored 8/10 on Pocket Lint when it was £119! Full details on link to review here: http://www.pocket-lint.com/reviews/review.phtml/2298/canon-powershot-a460-digital-camera.phtml

Conclusion from Pocket Lint review:
"First up, do not be put off by the camera only having 5-megapixel sensor. This simply means there are less noise problems to worry about at a given sensitivity and the more manageable file sizes generated means you get more shots onto whatever capacity storage you have in place.

Plus, this camera's retail price of £119 belies a very nice snapping tool that hides a bit extra poke under the bonnet in terms of spec and usability. It may not be the prettiest camera out there and it may not be the fastest, but it takes nice pictures, is easy to use, and is worth every penny at that price."

Compatible with SD and SDHC memory cards - the most economical and most widely available type.

Appeared to be two left in my local Tesco today. Boxed, not ex-display. Presumably same price wherever stock remains.

As a simple point and click camera, you can't go wrong with these basic Canon cameras.

Great price, but note that the improved model - the A470 - is only about £10 more at Argos at the moment

this was my first digital camera and the photos were always great, well worth having this, in fact I may go to Tesco and get another one if my store has some - the one I had lasted years!

Well, my first digital camera was a kodak DX3700!

In true HUKD style, back in 2001 kodak mispriced it and offered it at £100. The true price was £329. Watchdog and the press were involved. Thousands of people complained, threatened to sue for loss of bargain and eventually Kodak backed down under the pressure! It was the start of a revolution and changed consumer rights.

It's interesting to note that a bottom of the range 3.1mp camera was retailing for £329 back in 2001. How times have changed!

Must have been around that time I paid £75 for a 32MB memory card - laughable now!

Lol I also got one of these Kodaks . . phoned all my mates instantly and they ordered one too . . Kodak eventually backed down and gave us the cameras. . . All the online retailers changed their T&Cs after that to close the loophole.

If it's on clearance wouldn't it just be another store specific deal? I already have a camera but looks like a good deal if it's nation wide clearance!

Probably nationwide but stock may be thin on the ground. Maybe others could post what they find locally. Two in Tesco Extra Solihull on Friday, I'll check again today.

Good price for a decent 5mp camera

1 left at Solihull Tesco Extra at 1pm Monday. Looked like box had been opened.

Anyone find them anywhere else?

I picked one up in High Wycombe (town centre store) a couple of weeks ago and, if I remember rightly, the last time I went in there they still had one in stock. They also still had several other clearance cameras in stock including a Fuji S5600 for a very similar price (certainly less than £40) which I was very tempted to buy (and probably would of, if I hadn't already got the Canon)

All gone in Solihull Tuesday 16th.

These sold out in Solihull Tesco Extra but I noticed they had a couple more back in this evening.

Grab them while you can!
