Crazy RRP, but Canon's are good and with a printer too not a bad price at all.

I bought the A480 a couple of months ago when Argos were selling it for £60. It is a good simple point & shoot camera. Slightly bulkier than others as it uses AA batteries. People have mixed opinions on battery types but AA batteries can be bought almost anywhere.

The A480 camera is good, typical price for that is £80. Got 91% in What Digital Camera.

Cant find the printer on its own but amazon have it bundled with the A470 for £89.75

Good deal but the photo paper can be expensive for these. Bought a similar deal about a year ago with a selphy printer and it didn't take normal 6x4 type sheets, it has a perforation on the paper, ended up never using the printer

This deal was available at this price before xmas.
Got one for my folks.
Very good simple to use camera
Takes sd cards and is sdhc compatible

The A470 is probably £20 cheaper than the A480, so that puts this deal into comparison. Better than the Amazon offer, but the ridiculous £259.99 RRP should probably more like £150!

'ot. Bought the 480 last time on HUKD for £59.99. A very simple, point and shoot idiotproof camera for Mrs V.

Anyone know how much refills cost for this printer?

It has 7.1MP rather than 10.0MP

Lol, you henpecked?

The CP760 is RRP £109 on Canon's website so presumably the CP530 was quite a bit cheaper.

The Mrs was bought this for Christmas, the Camera is ok but feels a bit cheap (made of plastic) and runs on2xAA batteries the printer is small and uses a thermal ribbon technology. The refills work out about 35p a print and are difficult to get hold of...

Yes, and that's why it's slightly cheaper, the A480 is just a newer version of the A470 (not that the amount of megapixels necessarily make one camera better than another with less!). So although the Amazon deal is £10 cheaper, this deal is better because it's the newer camera.

The current version of the printer is generally priced at £75, so this older version of the printer is probably worth £60 at most? Which would mean £140 in total so a nice wee saving. Although, as St0n3y has just posted, older printer so refills not so easy to get hold of. Still seems a hot deal though!

The CP530 printer is selling new for between £20-£25 delivered on eBay so I would question if it is worth £60The camera is on Amazon for £80, so buying the camera on its own for £80 is a better deal in my opinion (and was an even better deal when it was £60 at Argos a few weeks back!!!)
#15
Hmm, think I'd give it a miss and buy separate with a different printer.

I do not think this is a hot deal, although canon do make decent digital cameras.

I got the Powershot A1100 IS for £80 on amazon recently that was a hot deal.

Argos fool the masses again! Put a ridiculous RRP on it and a big discount and the sheep all vote hot!

An OK basic kit for a decent price - no more no less.
