Excellent camera. Easily the best budget (under £100) camera you can buy

Bought this a year ago for £100.

Excellent Camera,

No regrets.

Hot!

Good find..........Screen not bright, buttons has a plastic-feel......Excellent for kids!!! ......got 10.0 mega pixels so photo taken are tops!!!

I also got this for kids, but I find ocassionally pictures taken a little blury, but when not blurred are excellent. Agree that LCD is a bit pale looking. Wonder if there are any settings I need to adjust?

Fantastic little camera - I got it in blue for a good friend of mine who just wanted a point - and - shoot. It is a Canon camera, sturdy feel to it. Not too bad a screen either it is a good size. Lots of settings you can play with (if you want to).

Deffo recommended.

Good little camera this.
For anyone after a cheap basic camera the Fuji A170 at Asda Direct comes with a leather case and a 2GB card for £50 if collected instore. A better deal methinks.

got this for 60 ages ago when it was going for £120 in most places. For 60 it is just about fair value, for 120 it is a rip. Generally poor quality photos, the automatic setting is useless. You need to use manual all the time if you want reasonable results but most people are not very clued up on manual camera settings.

Asda Direct do not seem to stock the Fuji A170

The Fuji A170 went out of stock at Asda last night and seems to have been removed from their website today.

Hmm, not so sure! I think this is a much better buy. Linky Good reviews and the picture quality is pretty good. It does some odd things (lowering pixel count) when you go to high ISO. It sort of works in a round about fashion. Don't get me wrong though, picture quality will blow this one out of the water

WOW! that looks much better although dimensions seem tiny (credit card size)

Dimensions: 9,5 x 5,2 x 2,4 cm (amazon / comet)

Bulky, plastic, AA powered camera. Yes, as a Canon it'll probably take good pics but this is only an OK price, not a runaway hot deal.

Man people jump over everything you say on here. I will apologise as I got confused with the camera, I thought it was the Powershot A495, but saying that for £60 this still takes good pictures for the money. I don't think how a camera looks should matter or the fact it takes AA batteries (just buy some rechargeable ones). Yes that amazon one looks better and does take a bit better pics but if you are just simply a point and shoot person you are not really going to notice much of a difference, this is an excellent camera for £60 (in MY opinion, no source, before csiman starts attacking again without any suggestions of his own) X)

maybe you should state it was an opinion rather than wording it like a fact then

even if the opinion was subsequently mistaken too lol 8)
