Yes, but people think the G9/G10 are great cameras, I have no idea why. If they cost around £100 maybe as a 'quick-snap' camera. They are marketed as 'professional' cameras. I have yet to meet a professional with one of those.

Hi

If you want to meet a Pro who uses a G10 (used to use a G9) Say Hi to me.

The G9 / G10 are the only compact cameras that copmare to a DSLR. Its the lens that matters and these are Fantastic.

Once you tried and printed pictures from a G10/G9 you will wonder whats the point of having a bulky DSLR.

These are the future... Roll on the G11 hahahhahaha

Im no pro but I can vouch that the image quality from the G9 is truly outstanding at this price. I recently took it with me to the Grand Canyon and all of the people who I met on my way, well the ones that were interested in photography :-) commented on how good the G9 was when they saw I had one. Sure they were using cameras worth much more but what impressed me was that they still gave it kudos which means a lot in my book.

As a G9 owner I have to say it is a fantastic backup camera for my 40D any allows me to capture fantastic shots where I wouldn't want to (or couldn't take) my DLSR.

This deal expired as Amazon return the price to £289. Next cheapest I see on http://camerapricebuster.co.uk/prod586.html is £274.
