Tremendous deal- well spotted.
Heat given.
Canon stuff is great
Changed printers from Epson to Canon too !
my god this is a bargain great find and simply amazing price !!!
Doesn't look like it has rechargeable battery pack, though.
Seems it goes through batteries like Homer Simpson goes through doughnuts.

Seems it goes through batteries like Homer Simpson goes through doughnuts.

Normally I favour cameras with AA rather than battery packs; however looking at the Amazon reviews on this it does seem unusually power hungry. Lots of comments about short battery life; even with 2800ni-mh a user reported reasonable life but slow flash recharge times.

If you take a lot of flash pictures check the reviews out carefully as this may not suit you.

Hot deal despite that!
I think reduced because SX130 has been release, which is 12MP.

get some good rechargeables and it will be fine

x 10 optical zoom is tremendous for close ups with out losing clarity - I dont need it but I want it oO
thanks ordered for son
I own this camera and think that the battery life is fine. Just get some decent rechargable AAs. The flash recharge can slow down a bit as the batteries get low, but it's not as big a problem as people on Amazon are claiming...
good deal, however already posted
Is this camera somewhere between an SLR and a normal digital camera? Forgive the stupid question, but I know very little about cameras....
Bought Thanks!
OMG... when was this £300 oO...
Saw some photos online a few days ago taken at a concert using one of these - the quality was amazing. Have been looking for decent point-and-click, and this looks like it would fit the bill perfectly. Hot. :)
Who says this was ever £300 !!!

Even the amazon original price is only £209.

Was around £190 when released.

Review with price
I've had this camera for a few months and can happily say that the battery thing is a non-issue. I use Eneloops (which are only 2000mAh) and they last for many, many weeks (80+ shots / week), though I rarely use the flash. Always have a spare pair in your pocket and you can't go wrong.

The strength of this camera lies in the quality of the pictures it takes and a good zoom.

Great price BTW.
Still a very good deal having said that the £300 price claim is tosh !!!

I had the 110SX & apart from being a bit bulky it was a cracking camera.

Dont forget, one of the advantages Canons is the CHDK community

CHDK is a firmware enhancement that operates on a number of Canon Cameras. CHDK gets loaded into your camera's memory upon bootup (either manually or automatically). It provides additional functionality beyond that currently provided by the native camera firmware.

Its beta for this model atm.

Anyway, just ordered, so hot from me,
I've got one of these and they are a fantastic camera with a lot of manual settings to use if you want. We took it to France in the Summer and it managed a week with two kids posing all over Normandy and the D Day beaches on two sets of AA Lithium batteries (400+ pics). The other advantage is if you do run out you can buy AA's pretty much everywhere!

As for the price I bought mine in July and paid much more than that so I'll give it a HOT

sorry mate didnt see that - search engine on here sucks

Dont forget all to give "thanks" FTcom as the op is his even though this has gone hotter
Want... :( but sadly expired. Wish my main camera was AA, would make it a lot easier when away from home without access to a charging point...resorted to keeping a little Canon AA compact in my glovebox for when my Lumix battery runs out!!
