Was in Sainsburys earlier today and spotted that both of these were on offer.

Captain Morgan's Rum is £10.88 for the 70Cl bottle (normally £12.88)
Morgan's Spiced Rum is £11.59 for the 70Cl bottle (normally £14.59)

Both seem to be a good price despite the somewhat minimal discounts.
Posted both in the one post as I didn't feel they warranted their own posts.

Good find - voted hot.
They occaisionally have it in Netto for £9.99 - keep you eyes on those leaflets that come with your free paper!
However -
My favourite rums are Woods 100 (too expensive in the UK because of tax) & Captain morgan (not spiced).

I used to drink a lot of supermarket rums as they are a lot cheaper and weren't too bad. However, over the past 5-7 years, most supermarkets (except Sainsburys) have started using a different style of rum (more like cheap brandy) and in my opinion, is undrinkable.
As i just mentioned (and the point I was trying to make) Sainsburys own label rum is quite good and only £8.18 a bottle (I am not saying it is as good as Capt. Morgans) and tastes like RUM.
Another cheap one used to be Cane Trader (produce of Guyana) availble at corner shops, but this too has gone the way of the supermarket rums (now produced in the Reunion Islands????)

Just my 10p worth as I am a Rum Rat (Navy term)

Yep Woods 100 (100 proof, 57% A.B.V.) is ace - was in Gibraltar last year visiting my son. Drank rather a lot as it was only £4.75 a litre.(Lamb and capt. Morgan was £8 a litre - go figure)
