Wow these were always my favourite.

I even remember making chocolate covered apples, using these ... after seeing an article in the latest Blue Peter Annual, probably in the 1960's. OK my mum made them for me really

Recipe : melt chocolate, stick wooden skewer into apple, coat apple and roll in Rice Crispies

mmmmm !!!

Guess I'm in the minority, but never really liked these - my aunty always bought me a Caramac Easter Egg and it was always the last to go. It was alright I guess, after all sweets are sweets when you're 8, but it's not a Yorkie Truck Easter Egg!

Good deal though if you like 'em

I always loved Caramac when I was at school
Strangely enough, as soon as I left school, the lusting after Caramac stopped, never to be re-lit....

really hope they are in my local b&m, though i doubt it as i have never even seen a 100g caramac .

If you remember the original Caramac, made by Mackintosh's, and loved it, you'll probably hate this.

As usual, Nestle have managed to cheapen it and make it a much worse product than the original. They've managed this amazing feat with Smarties, Aero, Kit Kat, Walnut Whip and pretty much everything they've managed to get their greedy, sticky fingers on.

If you don't have an B&M if your area get in contact with them.

They are always looking for new places to expand to.

you can get contact information from here.

I'm surprised they still haven't opened one in Cardiff. The rest of South Wales has stores! Your nearest ones are Porthcawl, Pontypool and Newport.

Wait a minute I think we are all being taken for a ride here, acording to the Nestle website they only make one size and that must be the standard 30g bar.
A caramel candybar, this product is only available in one pack format. It was launched in 1959, and is still very popular today. Caramac is Egg Free, Nut Free and is also suitable for vegetarians.
#32
So has anyone else confirmed these are 100g bars?
#33
(Caramac x 3 ..100g bars @Amazon £1.99 )

Looks like the 3 packs on Amazon are £1.99 + £4.99 shipping but the total weight is 200g (ie 66.67g per bar). That said, the item weight is the same as the boxed-product weight so something doesn't quite add up. :|
Perhaps the OP could post a pic of the wrapper to confirm whether these are 100g bars - if it's true then there'll almost certainly be from a foreign market (ie not meant for the UK market).

They are the 30g bars. Yet the SEL states 100g bar for 39p.
#36
Has the OP posted the wrong information? Anyone confirm? It should be quite clear what a 100g bar is.
#37
confirmed to be 30g.
#38
Yes they are 30g bars.
Got some last night and yes - they are nothing like the Caramac of your childhood. Don't waste your money like I did.....................:(
#39
heh confirmed as well. Not a bargain and pretty misleading by the OP.
