I know this will get slated by some people who dislike it but for under £40 this is a good deal. I got this a while back for £99.99 and haven't had a problem with it.

I'm not sure if this is in store aswell but you can reserve and collect.

Enjoy

How easy is it to get the kegs though?
[mod]#3
threshers do them
#4
And tescos.
[mod]#5
u can have mine for 25 lol
#6
2 mates had this and both had to return them with faults.
You pays your money and you takes your choice.
#7
You also get a free keg plus £2.50 off another keg.
#8
Not keen Gooner? I've never seen the kegs in Tesco's?
[mod]#9
i dont get time to use mine with lil one now lol was good in the early summer!
#10
Someone posted this a week or so back and word on the street was Tesco are discontinuing the kegs. Worth knowing.

These work out to £1.67 p/pint for the export. Expensive given the supermarket offers on the multipacks these days. It's a gimmick that's not taken off...thats why it's cheap. Excellent idea, but just not cost effective.

EDIT: Export works out to 80p per pint here! http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/289122/carlsberg-export-18x275ml-7-sainsbu/

The supporters say the draughtmaster stuff tastes better, but I'm not convinced (it's only Carlsberg after all!). Plus the power consumption of this unit is eye-watering :w00t:

These things just keep getting lower and lower in price. That alone should tell you everything. Yet people still keep thinking they're getting a bargain. Even when this novelty piece of nonsense and one of its rare-as-a-sasquatch kegs costs less than a four pack of Carlsberg, I'd probably think again. Cold. Colder than the Draughtmaster could ever dream of getting.
#15
Kegs are down to around £12 in Tesco.
#16
my brother has this and loves it, its in constant use when he has the kegs which is the only problem only tesco extra sell them which the nearest to us is 22 miles but this would be perfect if the kegs were sold elsewhere. Threshers do sell them but our only get 5 delivered about every 6 wks, and they sell really fast.
#17
think someone posted this recently and cant argue at the price but the downside is the power consumption as its suppose to be very power hungry
#18
the power usage is dumb on these

Hey this is my first post! I think Currys will price match with Comet! Comet sell this for £114.99 which is £75 more expensive than Comet. This means they will give you daughtmaster for £32.49 (I think! Sorry if I am wrong!). Bearing in mind you get a free keg worth £12, and £2.50 off of another keg, the actual draughtmaster is only costing £17.99. That's a deal! Heat and rep.

ive bought the kegs before (albeit without the draughtmaster) and got nothing but head out of it for the whole 5litres

Just a novelty.

Buy an 8 pack and stick it in the fridge.

LOL!!

A word of warning - to run one of these for a year uses the same amount of power as 5 normal fridges combined, and will end up costing you the same amount in electricity as it does to purchase one initially.

I contacted Guinness recently about the Guinness Surger I bought when they were at a clearout price and got this response:

Thank you for continuing to enjoy Guinness as much as we do. Over the past year and a half we have been spreading the word in the hope that we could get more people like you to enjoy the magic of Guinness Surger. Like you we are very disappointed that others have not shared our passion for Surger, and so regrettably we have stopped producing the Starter Kits (containing Surger Unit, Guinness glass, 2x Surger cans). Guinness Surger Starter Kits were withdrawn in GB from 29th October 2007. The cans were available in participating Tesco stores until March 2008.

I fear the Carlsberg Draughtmaster will go the same way... Why would Carlsberg contiune to support this for a small number of owners in a slowing economy when they can just supply cans and bottles to a mass market
#28
why do these always get voted hot even tho most break down during warranty and after they have a hbit of boiling beer ive had 2 and have 4 out of date kegs i wasnt allowed to return to store after machine broke down lost so many peniies on this is unreal waste of cash not many have had one much more than a year

Was she a bit of a keg?
#34
At £39.99 for the Draughtmaster itself this seems a good deal but it's the problems you will encounter afterwards that stops me being interested, expensive to run and hard to purchase/expensive kegs to refill it, looks very much like these will be discontinued completely soon.

How do u get a free keg?

I think your talking about the wunderbar, it is compatible with most beer kegs and gets much better reviews than the draughtmaster however it does come at a price of approx £130.

The voucher is available for download from the comet website, it has no expiry on it. but the draughtmaster website mentions nothing about the free keg!!

Will ring them on Monday to query it.

If anyone is having trouble finding it I can also email it if required.
