Saw this yesterday and thought it was a good price...especially for fully synthetic. Wilkos always has good prices for oil.

Why the cold votes? Perhaps comment first please

Heat added,as it`s £33.99p at Motorworld !

I thought motorworld went bust? Although there's a place down the road from me called Motorworld which I think is run by another company.

4l fully synthetic has been cheaper http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/shell-helix-ultra-fully-synthetic-5/720009 This will more than likely be a group 3 hydrocracked synthetic base oil, so not great, but then again you'll pay more for the better oils.

TBH good price for the grade but on a high performance engine i'd go for 10w-40 over this. A bit thin when cold.

A bit thin when cold? That's the idea of it, lower viscosity lubricates better at low temperatures! Heat added.

Its possible to be too thin.

Personally, my favoured oil is Mobil 1 0W/40.
The lower the cold number the better, the higher the hot number the better.
This is an excellent price, you could pay as much for bog standard oil, in fact my daughter did recently.

Price has gone up to £19.97 again now.:(

Its possible to be too thin.

Also possible to be too thick and clog up oil ways and clog hydraulic lifters. Use the oil specified by the car manufacturer, some modern cars are more sensitive to the type of oil used and the wrong oil can cause damage to the engine.
