My hubby bought one of these a few weeks back and is having loads of fun with it on the trails.
Ordered one of these yesterday for his friend who collected it today - he nearly paid not far off this price for a 2nd hand one!

The Carrera Banshee 19" mountain bike boasts a lightweight 7005 aluminium 4 bar linkage 6" travel full suspension frame. It is capable of handling the roughest terrain and features the Suntour Raidon air shock with rebound adjustment. Up front the Suntour Raidon Fork with 140mm of travel, adjustable damping and lockout keeps the Banshee on the straight and narrow. SRAM X5 gears do the shifting in style, and the Tektro Auriga Comp hydraulic disc brakes bring it all to a stop in a hurry when required. The double wall alloy rims are tough and light and are fitted with wide 2.3 Tioga DH tyres.

The Carrera bike brand has been on the market in the UK for over 20 years sold exclusively at Halfords the brand is recognised by cyclists throughout the UK as one of quality, performance and value.

Might be worth checking Quidco, I think it's 6% for bikes.

Good point
Although wont work on store-pick up UNLESS they request on-line payment instead of payment on collection - if they dont have stock at the store they do this then order the bike in for you to collect a few days later :)

If you register your card with Quidco it should work. Also worth reserving online through Topcashback and paying with card registered with Quidco, you never know it might work.;-):whistling:

From what I can make out from my hubby's 'ramblings' it's a good quality entry level full-suspension bike for those who don't want (or cant afford) to go out and spend thousands of ££s on one, good for fun on the forest trails and tough enough for the more expert trails etc - we live in South Wales so plenty to choose from here.
Since he got his, all of his mates who enjoy mountain biking have wanted and got one.
Hubby got the Banshee X which is slightly higher spec!?!?

Obviously not your average road bike for family cycles along a cycle path, but great for anyone wanting to give proper MTBing a go :-D

See, I do listen to what he has to say......... sometimes :p

Oh and a tip for anyone buying one - apparantly it comes with a real razorblade of a saddle.
So you should be able to get a comfier one on the 3 for 2 on cycle accessories @ Halfords right now AND if they are building the bike for you they will fit your accessories for free too. Saves you faffing around - not that you men need much of an excuse for that :whistling:

Just wanted to point out that Halfords do INSTORE Quidco too :) So once you register your card you get cashback for anything spent instore. It does take circa 3 months to show up in Quidco though.

I registered my card for for instore cashback at Halfords and SportsDirect but it never tracks! So don't rely on it.

Oi, cheeky! :-D

While you're talking about razor blade saddles, us 'faffing' men could mention the width of the women's bike seats that Halfords, etc, sell. :whistling:

I did the same and it took at least 3 months (i think it may have been even more) to show up in Quidco at all. Give it time im sure it will work :)
