  Carrera Subway is pretty good, it is a bit of a lottery when it comes to getting your bike assembled or serviced. Some of the "mechanics" are better than others.

  This is above average spec for the price of £299. I have a Carrera Subway 1 (£183 previous sale) for when I am riding on the road and couldnt believe how much more efficient it was than my proper (£1k+) hardtail mountain bike. For the money I paid, you cant get near it for quality v price. However, be aware that some Subway models use SRAM shifters which shift differently to Shimano. I ended up spending another £70 on my Subway1 to change the shifters and rear derailier to Shimano, so it matched the shifting pattern of my other bike. If you only got 1 bike, then it doesnt really matter.

  Its now £224.99 with £10 voucher, is this a good bike?
  
  Also i have an inside leg of 79, that puts me in the 18"-20" size, but i can't get to a Halfords to try, what you guys recon, 18 or 20?
