I'd be interested to know what frame size this is, if it's "ladies" or whether it's just a different colour 51cm Zelos that's meant to appeal more to ladies?

The non-specific 51cm Zelos didn't leave me feeling to in control, where as the 51cm Triban 3 did.

For £180 and if I remember right, micro shifters? Not too bad at all though.

see this thread http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/22-off-any-purchase-halfords-1603626

you can buy Halfords Gift Vouchers with 10% discount, making the price £162; not sure if you can also use 10% discount if member of British Cycling, the price potentially could be £146!

Pretty quiet in here, the bike at £180 is essentially greater than the sum of its parts, the shifters and derailleurs are worth £90-£100 even at discounted prices so the price at £180 is well worth it. I've just ordered one for my daughter as a first road bike, if she likes it then a new wheelset, Fulcrum 7's maybe and a new 7 speed cassette (and 3mm spacer I think) will make it a really fantastic bike for the money.

Entry level? This is before that level.
If you buy crap first up, you'll fall out with cycling and give up.
Bet yours is on Ebay with 3 months

Would it not help to out the RRP in the title or description? This would've got extremely hot otherwise, but I reckon people think £200 is just the normal price.

I advise you read mjr600's comment, for example, before writing nonsense.

You must know little about bikes, I built the Zelos this evening and went out for a ride with my daughter. It's beautifully made with a simple but reliable Shimano drivetrain, some surprisingly light wheels and perfect female geometry. It needs some decent SPD or SL pedals and possibly a headset spacer to be a perfect fit.

For my part, I've ridden since the 70's with the odd few years off, competed, owned a variety of bikes and agree with a lot that this man says about diminishing returns.

Of course you may just be a simple troll.

Ha, simple troll. Of course, anyone that says a new road bike for around £200 will be ace and perfectly correct!
