The legend of Casillero del Diablo began more than 100 years ago when Don Melchor de Concha y Toro decided, in order to keep thieves away from his wines, to spread the rumour that the Devil lived in his cellars. Hence the name, Casillero del Diablo.
The wine benefits from the ideal growing conditions to be found in the Central Valley, Chile. Foggy mornings and Pacific ocean breezes give the grapes extra time to ripen and realise their full potential.
