Superb film at a superb price.

Martin Scorsese, one of America's most influential filmmakers, returns to the world of mobsters, greed, and excess that he explored so compellingly in 1990's GOODFELLAS. Set in the 1970s and revelling in the minute details of how Las Vegas casinos operate, the film chronicles the rise and fall of casino manager Ace Rothstein (Robert De Niro). As the king of his domain, Ace efficiently runs the business and regularly sends lots of cold cash to his bosses. Helping him keep the casino's employees and customers honest is his best friend, Nicky (Joe Pesci), a violent sociopath. Although Ace aims to run a relatively respectable casino, the volatile Nicky wants to take over the entire gambling mecca, and when Ginger McKenna (Sharon Stone), a seasoned Vegas hustler, enters the picture, Ace and Nicky's friendship is complicated even further. As drugs and alcohol become a bigger part of Ginger's life, all three are eventually brought down by their own greed and blind ambition. CASINO shares many similarities with GOODFELLAS, beginning with a script that was cowritten by Scorsese and Nicholas Pileggi. Regulars De Niro and Pesci are first rate once again as the dissimilar companions, but it is Stone who steals the show with her gruelling, intense performance.

Stop giving Andywedge a hard time! I read sarcastic comments like the one's above and decide not to posts deals in case they get slated.
FYI, I've now left my rock and am extremely grateful for this news and am going to buy some £2.99 stocking fillers.:stocking:

I felt like that, but now I just shrug my shoulders and don't let it bother me. I do get annoyed by the "I am voting cold 'cos I knew it was this price" brigade. But NOT as much as the "random" cold voters. At least they have commented why they think it's cold. I post a deal 'cos I think it will benefit someone. As in your case; you have benefited from this post. So, for me it's "job done". But, like I say, I don't let it get to me anymore. With regards to this deal, it's at least about twice as expensive everywhere else, so it's a deal. If everyone on HUKD stopped posting a deal 'cos some users were nasty (and you should see some of the nasty comments I've had on some deals I've posted; these are nothing in comparison) then within 1 month there wouldn't be a single deal posted. Sadly, this is how a lot of people are. Constructive comments I like. I'm "smarter" than you / "smug" comments I don't. But, I live with them both and keep posting. If I can save a few people a few quid over Christmas then I'm happy. If I bought my sister, say 10 HD DVD's from HMV she'd think I'd won the lottery and kept it quiet. She has no idea that you can buy some really good titles at this price now...and I wouldn't even have spent £30. So, despite the fact a lot of people know you can buy them at £2.99, an awful lot more people don't; and they don't all live under a rock. Saying that, my rock is beckoning and I must now return under it.:santa:

Welcome Andywedge, I got this in August, when they reduced most of the HD DVDs from £3.99 to £2.99.

There have been many posts on HMV HD bargains, in fact last one was hottest post of this week 847 degrees, now second hottest, perhaps the BB is not as fast in Wigan as in Leigh;-)

This is a place for hot deals and if you don't do a quick search before you post things (can't even get away with 'i tried but dint see any' as there are just far too many) then expect people to be touchy, at the end of the day, like everything else, there are rules and doing your best to make sure that what you post is valid and acceptable is one of them. If you don't want to post something because you don't want to get slated then I'm glad tbh (although it's not nice) as your deal was probably not good enough in the first place if you were unsure of the reaction you would receive.
