If you can get it to work let us know!

Didn't work for me. Still, a good price for the camera. Heat added.

The web page doesn't seem to set the price correctly, no. However, my local Argos store did honour the price when I took the printout in. I was surprised; credit to Argos!
#8
not a bad camera really at a decent price, imgae quality isnt best according to reviews, but 7/10 aint bad really.

Might have to have a go at this one myself. They let me have the PS3 with 2 games for £299 the other week so I don't see why they won't honour this one too.

by printout did you mean a reservation number for all three items or the part where it says save £75 when bought with all three.
also what store did you get it from

Print the webpage with details on the offer as that'll be your only proof. Your reservation email will show everything at full price.

Thanks hotdealsboy

Straight after seeing you post, I reserved the items and went down to my local Argos. I made sure that I had print outs with me of the special offer as when I got there Argos had changed the details. at first the staff were having none of it and when I asked to see the store manager, she caved in and honored the deal. Great camera for £38!!

I tried the same tonight but was unsuccessful. Spoke to store manager who seemed to know his stuff about their legal position on internet misprices. Tried my best but he wouldn't budge - you win some, you lose some...

Will be tryiing again in the morning at another store :)
#14
I've got 3 reserved at different stores for collection today. I only really want 2. Fingers crossed they honour them.
#15
Offer has now changed to £50 off when you buy the three items so now ~£63. Still not a bad deal but I've still got my £75 off printout so will try my luck with that first :)
#16
I don't think they'll honour the £75 off; Argos normally state the price you pay is the instore price at the time. I agree, £63 is still a good price for the camera, bag and card!
#17
Still not a bad price but I've got the £75 off printout too so hopefully I'll be getting a couple of bargains later.
#18
does the £50 off show in the basket as its not working

It's definitely worth a go. The one I got last night was actually Silver rather than blue as they changed the catalogue number from 056/1013 to meet demand for this camera. Whereas if you order the Silver one it shows at being at £119.99 with 50 free prints.

i got the same **** at a different store!

When it clearly stated save £75 when you buy the camera with the case and sd card TOGETHER......... manager didn't bother to come back and instead sent his little lapdog trainee to talk to me who couldn't do a simple bit of maths to work out the price to make it work his way.......and was told the manager can't discount it (LIE) asked if they checked the website and if it still said £75 off and he said yes (LIE) even though i knew it changed to £50 off in the morning.........

so will call head office now to say how annoyed i was that the manager went outside to smoke a fag instead of come back to tell me this himself (no lie he was outside smoking when i left)

couldn't help but laugh and shake my head at him *looks for the jerk-off smilie*
didn't expect to get it.......but did expect them to say yeah sorry it was a mistake, we can't do it that cheap.......but as a goodwill gesture we'll do the currnt £50 off as it states now even though thats apparently wrong for too as you are already saving the £75 off........no incentive to buy the SD card or case....

loved the way the woman was like its a £150 camera.........I was like no....... its a £74.99 camera, cause thats the price you are selling it for LOL

Try adding the camera, the bag and TWO SD cards to your trolley

This gives you the camera for £9.99:thumbsup:
The bag for £14.99
The two SD Cards for £28.98

TOTAL: £53.96

Going to try and collect it tonight.
#24
you might get away with it if you order 2 cameras

Leather Finish Camera Bag. 570/1397 1 £14.99
Sandisk 1GB SD Memory Card. 570/1737 2 £28.98
Casio EXZ75BE 7MP Blue Digital Camera. 560/7178 2 £84.98
Total: £128.95

cameras show at £84.98 instead of £9.99

You're right, showing the same price for me, the trick with this would be to use one of the self-service kiosks (if your Argos has them) where you key your reservation number in, put your card in and pay for it then take the receipt up to the collection desk. That way no staff member will be able to do anything until you've actually paid for it! Say, you allow a fiver for each of the accessories (both cards and the bag as that's far more realistic) then the camera is only really costing you less than £40.

Say what? Huh? I thought the offers were confusing; this is just madness though! (I.e. I see the same thing in my basket.)

Review of the camera if anyone is interested: http://www.thinkcamera.com/news/article/mps/UAN/421/v/1/sp/

Seems a bargain I think...
#29
Review also here, seems a good general point and shoot for the beginner or if you don't want to fiddle around with settings much, but more experienced users might be a little disappointed.

Just filled in an on-line reservation form, as per post #24 for collection tomorrow.

My wife is going to pick the order up, and I know that they do have a self-service kiosk there, so it should be interesting.

Two cards are always useful anyway!

Edit: If they do try and ask her for any more money, she will just put on her 'polite but confused young lady' expression, and cancel the order!

Reserved all the items online - camera, 2 x SD cards and case.

Just been to self service kiosk in store and they come up full price :-(

That's a shame!

Presumably you don't then have to go ahead with the purchase, and can just withdraw your card?
#33
Forgot to mention - I also had the camera reserved with just 1 X SD Card and a Case with the print out of the "£75 off". Customer Service said they wouldn't honour it as it would be giving the camera away for free! :-(
#34
Surely it's a set price, how wierd. Did you try at the till?
#35
I just cancelled the order via the kiosk.

They wouldn't budge on the price. all they could say was it's £75 off the original price of the camera.
#36
Just been to my local Argos and they refused to honour the price, I talked to the Manager she would not budge so I made her call the Service centre, they did not budge either.

They told me that the £50 saving offer was only when the camera was at full price not half price as it is now.
#37
Coming up full price when you go to pay in store for reserved bundle, so would advise anyone not to waste their time pursuing this.

The web site does say that it does not gaurentee price when you go to pay in store.
#38
still a good price for the camera though :-)
#39
i tried too but no luck i stood there for half hour
#40
I have just tried too. Wont match the internet offer. complete waiste of time.
