Another one of Casios intriguing 'high speed' cameras but this time with 5x optical zoom. Takes 30 frames/second stills and 1,000 frames/second movies! £100 reduction in Currys' sale. States temp out of stock on the website but there was stock in my local store (Solihull) today.
Blurb from the website:
"Capture the moment with the Black Casio EX FC100 High Speed Digital Camera. This ultra fast compact digital incorporates 9.1 megapixels and high speed shooting and recording features.
The EX FC100s serial shot function is capable of taking 30, 6 megapixels photos per second, and 1000 images per second of high-speed film recording. A clever slow motion feature allows you take photos and while the shutter release is pressed half way the scene plays out in slow motion, so you can choose the perfect shot.
The EX FC100 also features a pre-record mode that means when you press the shutter release to take a photo, it takes up to 29 frames before it as well. An impressive 5x optical zoom and mechanical image stabiliser lets you close in to your subject while reducing the blurring effecting that can occur. Results can then be viewed from the large, bright 2.7 TFT screen.
Using the high-speed serial picture recording, Best Shot Anti shake and night-time modes deliver clear, focussed pictures in poorly lit environments and motion shots.
You can also produce high-resolution videos from the HD video recording feature on the Silver Casio EX FC100 High Speed Digital Camera
