Great camera, bought mine for £100 some time ago. Great deal voted hot.

Seems a cracking deal for a good P&S camera.

Discovered HUKD a couple of weeks ago when I was about to order a Sony Vaio NR21 laptop from Play and found my way here via Google to see it had been on sale courtsey of the Littlewoods group hours earlier for £130 less... so didn't get it and still debating what to do.

Spotted this offer in the paper this morning and thought I'd share it with you all, but was admittedly a bit disappointed to find it was already posted. Wanted my first post to be slightly more impressive than this you see!

I bought a Casio EX-Z1200 from Jessops a couple of weeks ago (£129.99 - what I thought was a very good deal at the time) but wish I'd waited as this looks a steal. Love my camera, but for the price, this is fab and reviews look good so I'm voting HOT!

Just bought this from Asda :) Bargain!

Had an older exlim a few years back and was fantastic, eventually it broke and last year i bought a sony cybershot t-100, i didnt rate the sony camera in terms of photos or video and spent around £300 on it with HD docking station, 4gb mem stick, case etc so ended up spending a small fortune on a canon DSLR and a load of lenses which blows every other digital camera ive ever used out of the water, but then again for £2000 what do you expect?!

Anyway, this year at Glastonbury i took the Canon DSLR down for photos and the cybershot for video, unfortunatley on the first day i consumed rather a large amount of shrooms and gave my cybershot away to an ice cream man! (lucky i didnt have the canon on me at the time!).

Anyways....... since then i havent been able to shoot video and say this offer this morning in the paper so went up to asda and bought one, im very impressed, it didnt come with a memory card but morrissons sold a 1gb one for £6.99 so got one of those.

Its a nice little camera, nothing spectacular but very easy to use and produces good results and has a decent video recording mode which is what im using it for :) it even comes with a nice leather case.

Recommended :)

Got back with mine about an hour ago, the guy said they`d been hammered and I was getting the last one.
Got home and opened the box and there was no camera case inside, so went back, told him and lo and behold, he produced another box from underneath the counter, opened it and gave me the case.
Voted hot, great deal.

I would vote hot, if I knew how to lol
#8
Hot, would probably sell for more on ebay!

Had I not just bought mine, I'd have snapped this up!
#9
Wow! Tempted to buy a second one!

Great camera. I took it on holiday and really tested it too its limits.
#11
I have one of these which I got at £110 with case..
great deal..
#12
Great camera and price especially as its got a Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery as well, camera's at this price usually just have AA or AAA batteries that don't last very long.
Good find voted Hot from me as well

Anyone know why Asda are selling them at this price (seems to be half price compared to almost everywhere - even online!)? ...Is this model on it's way out?

...don't think it's a lemon (albeit not the best, according to reviews etc)...just wondering why really!!! ...as what I'm trying to do is resist (by rationalising my thoughts) buying it as an "impulse buy" (as at this price gotta be worth a shot [if I can find one])...:)
#14
Looks a good deal, do they do them in different colours in Asda or just the silver? Wife's birthday next month and this looks like a good handbag camera!
#15
Its like the 50p deals that they've been running over the weekend.... solely in the interest in their price war against Tesco. But I'm happy for the price war to continue... cheaper stuff for me, lower profits for these big companies
#16
Good deal, thanks

Well if Blackthorn got the last one at his local ASDA at 3PM ish on day 1 I'd say there's a limited number available = a small amount of money lost (if it's a lost leader) but a great deal of publicity gained.
#18
it is a nice camera

but the screen is a little flimsy imo!

Broke ours on a night out - im sure the kicking accross the dance floor wasn't to blame :P

wish i could just find the lcd screen to fix my own though! :)

will vote hot just as we paid £150 a year ago. (from asda :D)
#19
how do you get this great deal????
every asda website does not sell the camera and how do you know if your asda has a photo store? help I want one!!!
#20
I picked up the Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 3 weeks ago for £55 in Asda (impulse bargain buy). It actually came with a leather Casio case included in the pack. Not sure if that was a special pack or something???

For the price it's a fantastic 'holiday' camera. The Asda Home store at Lakeside had a clearance section.

Wow...£55!!! Hmm, maybe Asda are clearing them out then (and putting it up by £12!!!)...

...LazyDonkey, can you clarify...so you picked it up in the clearance section at the Lakeside Asda for £55?

Many thanks for your reply in advance.

Basically Asda had loads of stock guess somebody at their head office messed up pressed to many zero's. Happens all the time and I speak from experience. No tricks just a good camera at a great price, wouldn't wait around though as stock is limitied to what they have instore, and once its gone its gone. Also don't forget to ask for your 50 free prints voucher when you but any digital camera.
#29
damn, went down and they were out of stock
#30
just reserved one at my local store to pick up tomorrow....voted HOT
#31
trafford park have sold out but altrincham tel: 0161 924 1020 still has a few behind the counter
#32
Asda Linwood had them in stock this afternoon. Don't know how many but they were not out on display. I just asked if they had any of the cameras in the press ad in stock and fortunately he did :-D

This one is for my mum and being honest if I hadn't bought a new camera last year I would be snapping one up for myself, bit of a bargain this one....
#33
i got mine ......... chadderton in oldham......bin waitin for good deal since i dropped my old one in the carribean sea ........oops
#34
Got Mine, No Case but still a nice little camera.
Great Deal. Thanks:)
#35
Excellent camera, bought one for my wife nearly a year ago, very easy to use and good picture results as well, an absolute steal for this price, voted hot
#36
Hmmm wonder why some aint coming with cases?
#37
i had one of these and I returned it, as i found the picture quality to be very grainy. I then bought myself a canon ixus 75 which i am truly happy with. this is a great price for a decent camera though, so voted hot.
#38
Just been into the Slough branch and they said they might have some tomorrow morning since the ad was only put in the papers yesterday (according to the woman at the photo desk) so fingers crossed I will be able to pick up one of these tomorrow.

Great Deal

Feeling hot hot hot (Shame about the sodding weather though!)
#39
I picked mine up from Asda in Basildon, Essex last night and the girl behind the counter had a few in stock. She herself was picking one up as it was a billy bargain.

I have now ordered my memory card through play.com and shall then be ready to snap away!

Great deal!

cheers
