Good find! I saw this myself a few days ago, but I think if you can get the Casio Exilim S770 for about the same price, you'll be getting more or less the same pixels and camera quality, but in a thinner package!

Only problem is that the S770 is now out of production, and all the stores selling it are selling it at inflated prices...

I cannot recommend this camera enough!
I purchased it a while back, it takes superb photos, is nice and slim, has its own rechargable battery (i have a spare which i brought for about £5 on ebay).

The aftercare is superb too, i dropped mine causing the lens mechanism to break. I sent it off to casio and they fixed it and got it back to me within about 3days.. the best thing: free of charge!

Voted Hot!

cheers man, i was almost about to buy this a few weeks ago at £ 99 !

With a fault which displays 'lens cap error' and makes the camera unusable. Google this and see what I mean.

Welcome to HUKD Mikeonfreeserve :)

Excellent reviews (as late as Sep 2007) @ Amazon. Dont think Casio / Amazon will sell an 'unusable' camera.

Google
Your search - "lens cap error" ex-z75 - did not match any documents.

Please elaborate... make, model, price, where to buy? why you think those were better?

#16

Where can you get the Z77 for £10 more?

Even on eBay they still work out at £130 plus any import duties

Cheapest UK supplier is £115 shipped

unless anyone knows different

S770 - Dimensions 94.5 (W) x 60.4 (H) x 17.3 (D) mm

Z75 - Dimensions 95.4 x 60.6 x 19.6 mm

Good price, I spotted this when i noticed the NV3 for £10 more but it seems this deals popular, so it must be a better spec or the £10 difference means a lot to people. :)

Voted hot because I remember thinking of buying it for around £200 earlier in the year and it is supposed to be a great cam.

I would go for the Z75 - had other Casio Exilim cameras and for the money they hard to beat. The NV3 is also a PMP, so the camera element will not be up to the Casio I would think

Got this for about $300 a year ago, great camera but agreed the macro function could be better (but that's me being picky)

Macro is the only real downside of Casios in general

This deal came at a great time - sold my S500 whilst on holiday for £80 so this is a great replacement for £10 more :-)

Really like the look of the new Casio Exilim S880 Silver, but they are £160+ and the S770 is about £130 :-(

This one seems great value.

The promotion didn't appear till the later stage of the checkout. I've told a friend, but he's said that it's not appearing on his PC. If I go through the purchase procedure again I'm still getting it appear.

Anybody here getting it too? I hope so, as it's a great bargain if you are. If not I'm curious to know whether I've some weird Amazon cookie on my PC that's giving me an erroneous discount. lol, I ought to call it a fortune cookie. :)

Not sure if they'll honour the price.

Rep left for Fogg

Just bagged one too, will be interesting to see if it arrives!

Bought one for my bro's bday. Thanks Fogg!
#35
Wow indeeed! Ordered one an a Christmas present. Hope they don't cancel...
#37
If Amazon were to pull this now we would have a chance but as soon as a few hundred more HUKD punters see this thread and order it the chances will be slim IMO, Amazon are notorious for not honouring misprices/mistakes.
#39
I've got the shipping confirmation for mine, but as I already said I did hold fire for a bit as I wasn't certain whether the promo would materialise...

It's perhaps worth paying a premium for super-whippy delivery, just to increase the chances of the order completing before Amazon pull the plug?

Anyway, fingers crossed for you all.
