Is this the enemies watch of choice?

Had one of these at school pretty much indestructible and the battery lasted forever.

£4.99 at play and I didnt really look that hard so probably cheaper elsewhere.

Sorry OP

Those are fakes from play marketplace. It's a widely faked watch. I'd be surprised if you can get them genuine and cheaper than the OP.

How do we know OPS is genuine? It's also a marketplace product...

Press a button....about the limit of their intelligence, yeah.
Loved these watches, 20 years ago ! Bit out of date, ugly as hell, small (and Ive got good eyesight) but reliable as hell. But main bugbear are the straps. They'll rip apart in a year

Got mine direct of amazon last November for £5 then used the 20% code to get it down to £4 good cheap watch just for work

Great price for a watch to tell the time which is what watches are for.

Buy this then laugh at the folks that pay hundreds for a shiny shiny.

Heat.

Been wearing these for work for the last few years. Generally the strap breaks after a year or so. But great little item!

yup, I agree with trixabel.

Harks back to the days when a timepiece did mostly that.
Ideal stocking filler cheap present for a nipper who you are letting further off the leash.

My 10yr old has one, v simple operation, gets her home on time,& rugged enough.
(ok so a kids phone has alarms & stopwatches, they also get the battery run down on them, so this prevents that 30 minute delay getting the kids outside whilst the sun is shining, & is not likely to be taken by an older kid.
Heat.

Hourly chime, stopwatch, easy to set alarms... simple. (looks small on the wrist so ideal for kids).

i've had mine for about 8-9 years. strap still fine. never had to replace the battery. amazingly, it also survived going through a 40 wash when i forgot to check my pockets one time

I've taken mine scuba diving to 30m on numerous occasions. Great watch that you truly can just buy and not worry about because they're almost indestructible and even if it does break, you're only down by a few quid.

You'd be surprised then, as this has indeed been cheaper on several occasions and genuine from Amazon... Not that I'm saying this isn't the current cheapest price, but it isn't a stonking deal compared to its previous low of £5.04

Love this watch. I've had one for the past few years.

I initially searched the web for a cool watch to wear when kayaking / surfing. Some great £90.00 options out there from Nixon... but then I found these old beauties, cheap and indestructible... and at this price if it ever did go wrong I wouldn't be overly bothered.

Do they still sell these? Hot!

744 ....5 star reviews on Amazon says it all.

This watch is more reliable and accurate than most Rolex watches.

Great watch. Had one for about 3 years now and never a problem.

This watch design is amazing. 30 years on and it is virtually the same. How many other items can you say the same about?

I absolutely agree, this is a brilliant watch. I once had to jump out of a plane in mid flight, when I landed I tumbled down a rocky cliff face (the plastic strap was barely scratched), swam in shark infested waters (it's water proof), then fought a few sharks, eventually swam ashore, walked into a giant grizzly bear, who I beat to the ground under 1 minute 29 seconds (the casio has a stopwatch function). Then as I was searching for firewood, I wrestled a few alligators in the dark (thanks to the casio's built in light). After a small roasted meal, I slept soundly and woke up on time for work, thanks to the alarm function. I would definitely buy another one of these watches.

That really shows how durable it is and like the fact that it can be taken scuba diving is totally relevant to the thread.

I'm pretty sure urban outfitters do for more than twice this price...
