I've got this watch! It's a bit chunky but a good everyday watch.

Yep, always a good idea to get yourself in more debt during a recession, you dont work for the treasury do you?

Fools are managing the treasury. If you are intelligent you will invest sensibly and make merry when the sun shines later. I just posted the credit offer for Mr Sicknote as he was bothered about cash crunch when people here are posting deals worth hundreds and thousands and I posted a deal that costs 70£!!!!!!!!!!!

I had one of these watches. I paid £80 for it about 3 years ago. It had a "list price" of £250. The good things are that it had a titanium case, so it wasn't too heavy. The cheaper Casios sometimes have acrylic "crystal" for the face, which picks up scratches easily.

There are some downsides. The case has some plastic trim, which wears away quite quickly which spoils the look a little. Adjusting the strap is quite fiddly - you might want to get it adjusted when you buy it.

Worst was that the controls are fiddly. There are several different modes for the buttons. If I went abroad and wanted to adjust the hour hands to match the different time zone, I had to refer to the manual (this is the first watch I've ever had to do that for). There is also a control to adjust the time zone for the dual time digital display. This would get set accidentally all the time, which then meant that I had to scroll through another 23 time zones to get it back to GMT.

I had it for a couple of years and then lost it when I took it off to go through an airport security check.

The watch I've got at the moment is also a radio-controlled digital/analogue one. It cost £13 including delivery from a buy-it-now listing on a well-known auction site. This one has simpler controls, with a stop watch, but no alarm. It has a really nice leather strap and I don't think the crystal is acrylic. The build quality is a little worse, and the battery that it came with didn't last long. Its a CR2025 lithium cell, so they are dirt cheap to replace. If I lost this one, I'd get another the same.

I've had one of these watches for the past 6 years and it still looks in very good nick. The solar power works great - I've never had to replace the battery - and it keeps absolutely spot-on accurate time (radio controlled).

The glass is very resistant to scratches and the titanium case looks good.

My one cost nearly £130, so this is a bargain. Voted hot.
