Any Toys R Us codes?

Keys are NOT touch sensitive, this does matter a lot when you play... Even if you buying it for a child, the keys have to be touch sensitive.

The keys are touch sensative

Touch Sensitive (Touch Response) (with on/off)
Like a piano, the harder you strike a key the louder and brighter the sound. Allows for more expressive playing.

The reviews at http://www.amazon.com/Casio-CTK-496-Electronic-Full-Size-Capability/product-reviews/B0002L59SU/ aren't very positive. There is also a review at http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/keyboards-synthesizers/casio-ctk-496/1232594/ which says that the keys are not touch sensitive. The Casio page at http://www.casio.co.uk/products/Musical%20Instruments/Digital%20Keyboards/Full%20Size%20Keys/CTK-496F7/Main_Features/ doesn't say anything about the keys being touch sensitive either.

Not full size as in a piano, it should be 88 keys...also this keyboard is not touch-sensitive.

I personally think Yamaha are a better make, I bought my kids a Yamaha YPT200-K and they love it.

I agree. I'm just back from Toys R Us. They had a Casio CTK-496 and the sound was really tacky.

Toys R Us also had a Yamaha YPT-210 for £89.99 which sounded much better. The keys on that still give the same note however hard you press the key. There is a review here http://www.yamaha-keyboard-guide.com/yamaha-ypt-210.html and the reviews at amazon.com are much more positive http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-YPT210-Personal-Keyboard-Factory/product-reviews/B000UUA9P6/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

The YPT-210 is £79.59 including delivery from http://www.normans.co.uk/p-1821-yamaha-ypt210-digital-portable-keyboard.aspx?gclid=CIyEuvTgmZ4CFU0B4wod1AkElg

Toys R Us also list a Yamaha PSR-E323 on their WWW site at £149.99 http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Sound-and-Vision/Musical-Instruments/Yamaha-Portable-Keyboard-PSRE323(0030685) which does have touch-sensitive keys, and decent reviews on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-PSR-E323-Entry-Level-Portable-Keyboard/product-reviews/B0029RPJIK/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1 Delivery is free from http://www.toysrus.co.uk if the order is over £150. There are other places selling this model for less, but with postage, they end up over £150.

If you spend more, you get a better keyboard ...the Yamaha PSRE413 http://www.normans.co.uk/p-1388-yamaha-psre413-portable-digital-keyboard.aspx has touch sensitive keys, but its £216.98. The P-85 http://www.normans.co.uk/p-1462-yamaha-p-85-black-digital-stage-piano.aspx has "weighted hammer action", so the keys feel more like the ones on a proper piano, but its £491.99.
