Have had one of these for years, would have no hesitation in buying the same again.

I've had one of these for years too. No problems whatsoever, still on original battery. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it. Excellent watch at this price. A world away from the vast majority of watches at this price.

It's not the biggest watch, but that's not the point of it really. It's not my work watch, or my dress watch. I wear it for 'knocking about with', DIY, gardening etc etc. It's surprisingly robust, doesn't matter if it gets marked or a splash of paint on it or whatever.

10 year battery but a 2 year strap which will break in a couple of years
You can replace the strap for about £10

otherwise - does what you expect of a watch - unless you expect your watch to do something apart from tell the time and alarm at a set time

Random thought but why can't Casio make a watch capable of displaying the day/month in UK format? Forgiveable at this price but it seems that even their premium Edifice range can't do it either.

Can't agree with that.

I've had my watch 4 years now and I wear it every day - no problems with the strap whatsoever.

Agree with rbz though, why can't they make the date UK format, it does my head in.

lol. I always had a collection of so many watches which broke the strap. Too expensive to replace the stap so kept on buying new. Some watches still going on 10+ years,,

They do.... and I have one..... G7800.

Expect some of these watches to be ex display, customer returns and open boxed........ pot luck on what you'll get.
Argos/Ebay have a rep for doing this.

I notice a round indicator on the watch labelled "Sig". Is that short for signal? In which case is it one of those watches that checks the time with a radio signal? If so, very good value.

Hourly time signal...... will bleep on the hour every hour.
You're hardly going to get atomic timekeeping on a cheapass watch like this.

These are great for sports, I've had one for eight years but the strap broke (use it for measuring rest time while doing weights) and another for five years. They just keep on trucking.

Just what I need to time our football matches. Thanks OP. Bought.
