the Omega Seamaster will probably last longer though. Only question is will it last 233 times longer...
;-D

I bought one of these the last time they where this price. Decent cheap watch.

"10 year battery life." but 2 year strap life probably. Cheap Casios great for wearing when doing grotty jobs but the straps always go before the batteries run out. I wish they would make them stronger.

not it has not been this price for over two years, it may have dropped to this price before but it does stay around the £15 price normally.

Hi People,My son is 8 next week does,do you think it would be too big for him?

I got this watch for £7 from Argos couple of years ago. I wear it solely for timing my swim times in the pool and sea. I can vouch for its reliability and waterproofness.
#10
do you need the time or want jewelry?
imagine wearing plastic earings or a rubber necklace

the time is on my phone so who needs a plastic / rubber watch these days ? and what does it say about you?

+1 - I always buy Casio (as they're cheap and functional) but the straps always go within 15months or so..
#13
great watch, bought this about 2 years ago at a similar price, been wearing it almost every day, strap still seems to be as strong as when i bought it..watch serves purpose very well, simple to use, clear and easy to read, relatively slim compared to some out on the market at the moment. cant go wrong at this price!

It says that I am someone who does not care what other people think and that I can quickly glance at my wrist instead of having to get my phone out of my pocket!

LOL and a good ol + 1. I've had this watch for over 2 years and the straps are as strong as ever.

I wouldn't swap my Seamaster for the world, but this is a great price for a very functional watch so heat added...

My dad recently dug out an really old casio analogue/digital watch that I used to wear as a teenager. Took it to India, had it cleaned and battery changed and it is still working - it must be at least 25yrs old now!

These watches last forever. I have one that is about five years old still running off it's original battery.

No countdown timer on this model?

I'd have one, but the trip to India for the battery changeing has put me off.

i would be too embarrassed to wear a plastic / rubber casio watch. Watches are mostly useless now and are a statement of luxury and are an item of jewelry for men. If you can't understand this then you probably never will.
In this category I would include cars , suits and perfume.

Each to their own

If you actually had some brains instead of rotting them listening to n'dubz on your mobile/clock, you'd know that plenty of people like to tell the time in environments where they can't access their mobile. i.e. sports, swimming, during meetings at work, etc...

You probably don't attend meetings at work though, unless it's to discuss how many big macs you managed to sell this morning.

A confusing statement; are you saying that cars, suits and perfume are just a statement of luxury and are useless now?

Perfume maybe, but suits are clothes and cars are transport; we would be a bit lost without them.

To clarify: your car and your suit say something about you. Most luxurious items have a purpose as well. If everything in your life is cheap thats the person you are.

Yes i'm sure at meetings or interviews the first thing people look at is what kind of make /model of watch you are wearing.
Hello welcome to the real world...

So: do you hide your casio?
#31
Question1:
Do you understand why anyone buys anything luxurious?

Question2:
Do you resent others for spending more than you on functional items?
#32
I've been to thousands of meetings at work. I remember noticing someone with quite a cool Marc Jacobs watch once, but other than that I can't for the life of me remember anyone else's watch. Honestly, I couldn't give a ---- what label/make it was - it tells the time for chrissakes. Anyone who judges someone cos of their make of watch is a complete tool in my book.

Does your mum know your off school.
#34
People that regularly attend business meetings can probably afford to have a 'nice' watch which goes well with their suit, and a perfectly good £9 Casio for times when their 'nice' watch might get damaged.

Having said that, the above is so obvious that anyone who needed to have it explained to them is likely to be incapable of telling the time from a digital watch.

well mine says "hi, i wont get soaked with sweat and stink after a while when you go jogging"

plastic/rubber sports watches are far more practical for excercise or sports.

but hey, who needs practicality when we can just be a fashion victim poser instead?

Don't go buying one of those Aston Martins and then one of these Casio watches.

Effingandjeffing wouldn't be pleased!
