Is this the unfashionable western spiral arm where people still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea?

I think its a thread for people after an instrument that tells the time at a very good cost and don't want to get ripped off paying lots of money for so called designer watches

bought one.....nice enough................

plus it doesn't need a degree in astrophysics to set or change the time etc

I bought one too. I have a Tag, seiko chrono and a DKNY watch...this is the first digital watch that ive worn since i was 9 yrs old
going travelling for 3 months.. the least expensive things that are lost/stolen/broken the better...

this watch has dual time too so know when it is a good time to ring home! bargain! could be more chunky but is ok. the light is **** tho!

Guess you're not a fan of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy then... Ah well, I thought it was funny! :-D

Does the job for work (better than damaging your "best" watch).
Had one about 6 months (when they were this same price). Does what it's mean to do at a reasonable price. Alarm, waterproof long life battery...

Sorry it went completely over my head.... I do like Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy but alas my knowledge of it is not that detailed.........

I have a Casio Wave Ceptor I bought on Ebay cheap over four years ago, worn every day, still has the original battery and is always spot on. The plastic screens that scratch easily also allow the scratches to be easily buffed out with a dremel. Try that with the sapphire quartz on your TAG.

PERFECT
I have a similar watch which I wear for the gym and swimming which has just died.
Reserved for collection tomorrow
Thanks

Excellent deal - I could do with a new cheap watch (for less than the cost of a battery for my Rolex! :-D). Heat added.

Nice and cheap :)

For work you could do a lot worse than I did when I purchased a Fishbone watch.

Search Fishbone on fleabay

This for £8.50 delivered. AND it's 50m

They are GOOD watches. Cheaper than the Casio and a large range of styles.

rizla ,..yes looks ok, shame iv just brought the casio yesterday.. nevermind.. iv still got enough to last a life time.. ha

couldn't believe that this casio would be that good for £7.50 but does what it says on the box. it'll be interesting to see how near to 10 years the battery lasts:?
my only gripe is against casio - the watch comes in a fairly large box so why do they have to scrunch up the instruction manual and fold it in half making it impossible to read. I'll have to sit on it all weekend to get it flat :)

rizla - indeed the fishbone is a very nice looking watch - with (imo) a very big flaw when compared to the casio. the winder is massive and when worn on left wrist (can't wear a watch on the right - doesn't feel.......right) it digs into my hand and causes a lot of pain/swelling. might be just me. anyway - i have the casio now and i'm chuffed with it for a work watch. rough, rugged, cheap as chips.
