Additional Information

WATCHES-WATER RESISTANT-GENERAL

Water resistant. An indication that the watch can withstand reasonable exposure to water, the measure of depth (30m, 50m, 100m, 200m) is an indication of the extent of that resistance, the higher the depth the greater the resistance. The figures are however based on still, cold water, and the resistance performance of the watch may be affected by temperature, movement and other factors.

But what if someone shot you and put it on your wrist?:giggle:

I bought this on Sunday. The watch strap is actually a very dark blue, almost black if that is putting any one off?

Excellent for the price.

Thanks for your opinion, very informative... keep it to yourself next time you plank.

Loved the look of the watch on the photo so reserved and it bought today.
What a disappointment!

I didn't expect wonders for this price but in reality it looks nothing like the photo. The strap is very dark blue and the metal casing looks very cheap and nasty. I bet the photo was photoshopped more than a little bit... Back to Argos it goes!

Does it come in any other colours?

Anyone able to tell me what the model number for this watch is?

I think Casios best watches were made in the 1980s

My dad bought one of these last year (for about the some money I think) and he took it back. We both also thought it looked a bit cheap and nasty. The case was way too bulky for his liking, and the tide graph which he had hoped might be vaguely useful is a useless gimmick, as it was two hours out on the morning tide and about 30 minutes out on the evening tide (with the correct settings).

I've still got a 80's casio watch, it had a brilliant battery life, waterproof to 100m and more compact than the one in this thread, but was really heavy. I replaced it with a much slimmer and lighter Casio DB-56W which I'm still using as I haven't seen one since that I would like better, or would even want; I just wish I'd bought more than half a dozen spare straps as I've used them all up - casio resin straps have always been rubbish.

I've had one of these for years, it has survived numerous dinghy sailing trips (including capsizes), swimming sessions and still works well. Don't believe the claims that the tide function doesn't work - I've set mine for Gosport and it is pretty accurate, if hard to read sometimes. Case is strong and resists knocks etc, hard to beat for the money.
