Ah right - it hasn't got kudos with the kind of people texting as they talk, while eating a pizza, and with state of the art shell suits ?

Sounds like my kind of watch, then

I have this watch and bought it at this price a year ago from Argos. I use it for measuring my swim times in the pool. I can certainly vouch for it's waterproofness! I wouldn't wear it for anything else as it's pretty cheap, but it does the job. Worth the money but no more.

Casio batteries seem to last for years

Is the backlight ok, can you read the time okey in the pitch black?
#12
As a primary school kid, I would have dreamed for a watch like this. Nowadays I think the playgrounds are probably filled with ipods and camera phones...
#13

Your right - I couldn't wait to get rid of my Snoopy watch - I wanted one of these!

I also remember getting a Casio calculator watch for my birthday - how cool was I?

any watch impresses a beautiful lady? (unless its for her)
#21
a reat work watch obviously not stylish enough for some unemployed chavs :whistling:

does it have the blue backlight or old type?
#22
Good watch, got it when Argos was selling it half price.
I use it as a backup watch when I Scuba Dive, taken it down to 20 meters so far and its still working perfectly. Going to 30 meters at the end of March, see if its still working then. :)

naa its orange, I remember my uncle had a really cool blue backlight on his Casio that was well over 10 years mind so im not sure what's old/new. It even had this thing where he would put the watch against a phone and could dial numbers using dialtone.

If you are relying on your watch to impress people then I honestly pity you.

OK this isn't a 'dress' watch but a functional reliable watch delivered for 7 quid = hot :)

Those kids were so cool:thumbsup: . You were potentially GOD if you had the remote control casio watch that could turn off tvs. They cost a fortune about 15 years ago. Wow. Seems like a long time now.

You should get yourself a Zulu or NATO strap for your Ironman.

Bought one of these about ten years ago and the damn things batteries will not wear out - and I can't justify a new one until the old one wears out!
