Been after a portable standalone groovebox for a while now, I was looking at the Electribe 2 and Novation Circuit when I noticed these Casio grooveboxes had recently had a big price drop from around £350! They look a bit goofy I know, but at this price you can't go wrong really, miles cheaper than any of the other grooveboxes out there.

"Truly portable synthesizer, drum machine, sampler and sequencer and midi controller

Sampler lets you capture your own instrument sounds or looped phrases from the mic and line inputs

Comprehensive sequencer for arranging full songs on the fly

Runs on six aa batteries for up to five hours of operation and has built-in speaker for creating music anywhere

Add sonic spice with 200 effects plus reverb, stereo imager and maximizer master effects"

Available in 5 business days from Bax, or you can pick one up from Amazon for £120 if you don't wanna wait - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Unknown-XW-PD1-Casio-Groove-Center/dp/B00SKTMH68

not sure what this would give the PC DAW user?
The VSTs that are are out there are astonishing..
Nice controller though

Nice controller though

It offers a different approach for people who are fed up of staring at computer screens to make music.
Plus its a pretty cheap way of stepping into the hardware scene without spending big money.

Looks good and cheap, but shame there is no midi / sync output to connect it to other devices such as a volca / Pocket Operator, etc

It's not cheaper than either of those either, but I'm still giving heat, and would like a spin :)
