thanks for this, I was looking to get one as a "feature" but put off by the price,
I will go for it now if I find it at mi local Netto

Homebargains is over 90 miles away from me (or anyone in the south) so this is a HOT deal, I recently saw a similar one in Homebase for £49.99

Voted hot for the price but one this size is no substitute for a patio heater.

We've got one the same size and it looks really good and smells fab when burning, unfortunately doesn't give out much heat though!

I'm contemplating one of these at the mo, but am concerned with my three boys darting around in the garden....perhaps next year.

Great price tho.

Heat!

Does anyone know if this has a cooking grill with it, if so that would be the clincher for me? Heat added any how.

We saw these in Netto before. They cannot be compared with anything from Homebase etc. No one will believe you paid twenty quid for such rubbish.

These are not bbq's they are just very poor patio heaters..Voted cold..
#9
Anyone know if the £25 model from homebargains is any good?
#10
This looks exactly the same as the one I ordered for my Nanna from Tesco Direct for £30.00 last month, she uses hers for burning her unwanted un-recycleble post, but it did come with a shelf so you could BBQ, but only enough for 3 burgers at a time!!! Good price if it is the same one though. (better hadn't tell her!)

Problem with these is can't really be used a heaters. Cast iron absorbs miost of the heat, and the rest goes out the top. Nice to look at, though. And a good price. Just don't get one if you're gonna use it to warm up on the patio.

Cheaper to put on a jumper if you're cold

errrrrrrr. So the cast iron will never give any heat out? Better tell my parents that the slow burning wood stove they've used to heat their house for the last 20 years or so isn't working......

Nice piece of sarcasm. Well done. what a joker. Buy one and find out for yourself ,then. Wonder if anyone found your post useful? Probably not. Do everyone a favour and keep it to yourself.

I imagine that your parents are constantly warm from the flush of embarrassment they feel.

Now this is the type of sarcasm I can agree with! Thanks for your support on this one, termite.

The fact was you are wrong.... Cast iron is great as it holds it's heat and gives it out gradually.

Like I said, not good to use as a patio heater. Might be ok for mummy and daddy's barn conversion, but slow release heat from cast iron no good to heat you up in the garden. I am not wrong. I am aware that cast iron will give heat out slowly, and acts as a conductor. My advice to potential buyers, however, still stands. Buy one and find out for yourself if you're so sure.
