Biggest drop for the game yet, and no need for a voucher, unlike The Hut price of £26

"The End of Days is upon us. The Lords of Shadow have risen and threaten Earth’s alliance with Heaven. The dead rise and stalk the living, while evil creatures roam the land, preying on the unwary.

You are Gabriel Belmont, Knight of the Brotherhood of Light, sworn to protect the innocent. You must journey across the ravaged lands and drive back the darkness that threatens to overwhelm it, and restore hope to a shattered people.

Succeed and your name will forever echo down the halls of history as a hero. Failure is not an option."

Heat for the deal but the game is kinda pants. I really wanted to like it, but too many frustrating bits and dodgy control issues to reccommend.

Still - good price if you want it!

nearly there the magic 17.99 buying point
#13
I got it on launch for about £28 i think it was , its more like God of war than a Castlevania game and i do like it but id prefered it too be based more like the original series.

I actually really enjoyed the game from start to finish, haven't played a Castlevania game since n64....so maybe thats why i thought it was great. Great price!
#16
its not a castlevania if you read the review i think gamespot say it somewhere that the game was ment to be called lord of shadows its just them trying to sell more copys they lobbed the castlevania name on it
#17
awesome game, been playing it the last couple days.
suspended#18
ah here we are, as expected the first price drop.
Probably won't get this game with GT 5, Time Crisis Razing storm, cvm 3 coming out soon.
#19
hope it does a kane and lynch, lol, too many poor sequels, aint many better apart from assassins creed and uncharted any others ?

Once again a TWO week old game drops below the £23 mark, unless your gonna be on multiplayer a lot, ie halo or the cod games, single player games like this should all be steered clear of during their £39.99 days, my theory is supported by this VERY sudden price drop on such a new game!
#21
Not bad considering CEX is offering £30 cash.

9 copies ordered ;)

This is an interesting point actually. I've bought a few single player games at full price for a while now, only to notice radical drops in price a couple of weeks or months later online. I think for the next few single-player games like this I'll wait a little while to see if any worthwhile price cuts occur before purchasing. Unless of course there's pre-order content which I desire.

Anyway this is a decent price, and the game is very good according to buyers. Hot.

this is available in shop

I would advise to play the demo first.

The demo was very dissapointing in my eyes. Ugly graphics which don't belong in 2010, a battle system that's boring and been done a million times before and lame enemies. I would put my money towards Dante's Inferno if you want this type of game.
#25
Gonna get this when it hits Zavvi price - which by the looks of it wont be long 8)

me I brought the game for £28 completed it and sold it on Ebay for £32, so I played the game for free bascially, I find that a better way than 'waiting for a price drop' some people seem to think this is the best way, as it only a SP and doubtful if I wanna play it again

That's weird, Atelier Rorona is on there and it only came out this week. And to whoever said it had bad graphics and Dante's Inferno is better, needs their taste tested, not just their eyes :) but whatever makes you happy..
#29
Call me when it's £17.99.

Well I think most people are missing the point here, you can basically play this game for free and make £10 whilst your at it. I've ordered it for £23 from Game. I'll play it next week then take it into GameStation and get them to price match CEX of £32 trade in, they beat it by £1, then I'll just get them to stick the £33 on a trade card for when a game comes out that I want. £10 free easy store credit and a playthrough of the game for a few days, thank you very much ;)
#31
And just incase youre wondering if GameStation instore would do this if they sell it much cheaper online, the answer is yes. I did it with Arkham Asylum and Dead Space. Infact they priced matched Batman with CEX even though they were selling the game brand new for £3 CHEAPER than the trade value they matched.

i tend to find that stores like cex adjust their trade-in prices as soon as these deals appear on the web
#33
Not always bud. Although there is nothing to stop you taking a pic on your phone now and keep it to show gamestation. Mine has never checked CEX trade prices, they've just always taken my pic as gospel. In saying that though, even if CEX do drop there price they never do it more than 10% per 7 working days, so you'd still get your money back plus make a bit extra at worst.
#34
Wonder what the Asda trade in price would be?
#35
This game is absolutely kicking my **** on the difficulty one above default. If you get hit twice by anything you're dead. I thought I was quite good at action games because I've platinumed God of War 3 and Uncharted 1 and 2 but nope :P

lousy filter at work!
is this for a NEW copy?

i just went to the local GAME shop here in Belfast and the klingon at the desk told me that the £22.99 price is for a pwned copy. the 'new' copy is £25.

man, i hate it how you can't use a GAME credit card online, only in-store. the in-store prices are such a rip-off.

Nothing wrong with my eyes, perfect eye sight. The game suffers from anti-aliasing issues. The cutscenes are plain and boring, just like the characters and enemies. The movements aren't fluent and in the second level of the demo the gameplay is tacky at best.
