Try before you buy. Terrible demo in my opinion. Graphics were awfull and the gameplay didn't deliver.
If you are really thirsty for this kind of game, go for Dante's Inferno.

Does the camera get any better in the full game? you couldnt rotate the camera in the demo you had to side step :(

Framerate on both systems is a quite low and so it seemed a bit slugish compared to GOW and DMC. Eurogamer's face-off has all the details. Fair bit of unnecessary padding in the game too so I would wait until it dips below £20. Which will probably be in a few days.

I totally disagree with everything said there. It's an excellent game with amazing graphics. If you're going to recommend something else at least say God of War 3, Ninja Gaiden 2 or Bayonetta, not the terrible Dante's Inferno oO

I thought Dantes Inferno was really good up to the point when you reached the challenge rooms. Completely pointless and irrelevant to the story of the game.

On the other hand, I actually quite liked the demo of Castlevania. Probably wasnt the best bits to advertise it either, just a linear horse riding section and an enclosed battle section, no real progression through a level.

Sadly, delivery cost is quite expensive outside UK (6£).
I'll wait for the 18£ deal from TheHut or zavvi...

And I think it's really pointless to debate about the game here, What's the point seriously?
Trolls need to go out and get a life...

They're the tutorial levels of chapter 1 and show off the graphics rather than the gameplay unfortunately. Things get a lot better and a lot more mechanics are added, albeit quite slowly. There's about 5 levels per chapter, 12 chapters. It's a very long game.

Dante's Inferno had a great story, good graphics (still hold up) and the battle system is ace. Out of all the games you mentioned, DI grapped me the most. My cup of tea doesn't have to be yours, you know.
