Considering how many games, and GOOD games like this drop in price at this time of year, I believe it is the perfect time to wait for a price drop unless you are impatient or really looking forward to a certain release. I want to play Castlevania, Enslaved and Vanquish this Christmas but cannot afford to spend day one prices. Plus, getting the time to play them all is a big ask so buying them cheap to make sure the sell on value will be equal or almost equal to original purchase price is the most ideal thing to do in my world. I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat.

Also, this site is for bargain hunters so why are you complaining about waiting for price drops when this site is all about crazy prices?

The demo was horrific, bad graphics, bad gameplay, boring setup. If this is what they use to get you to warm up for a game... Try before you buy.
#6
Horrific? Oh please, as if.

It's not the finest game you'll ever play but I enjoyed the demo, it was good, simple hack and slash fun. And vampires later in the game? I was sold.

sheesh this has dropped like a stone, its been out less than a month hasn't it ?

I really didn't like the demo. The rain effects and the poor camera made it difficult to really see what I was doing.
Game prices really are dropping fast these days. It's gonna get to the point where no one buys games on day 1.
#10
Awesome, been waiting for this to come back down to this price. Really looking forward to playing this!
#11
Bought it 9 days ago for £17.99 after it was posted on here - I am at the end of the 2nd Chapter at the minute - some of the bosses are solid! Good game, hopefully will play it through to the end but it looks like it is going to take well over 10hours

i also bought this from zavvi for 17.99 few weeks ago, it is a long game, i think its pretty decent to be fair. as for the demo being bad, i also remember another game having a terrible demo ( i wasnt the only one to say this at the time) that game was the quite brilliant BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM so........
#13
Just what I expected!!!!!! HOT!!!!!
#14
Thanks missed the Zavvi one few weeks back but knew somewhere else would match it in comming weeks :) PLAY.
#15
Think I'll stick to the brilliant DS games.
#16
This game is fantastic. Brilliant graphics. Nice fluid combat. Some cut scenes are emotionally-charged. Love it. For £17.99 it's hardly a day one price either. Snap it up.

If you really feel that strongly about going into every thread on this game and non-subjectively telling people that the game is awful based on the demo, but to try the demo rather than reading reviews of the full game... then why don't you go and play the full game and get a proper opinion? Face your 'fear'. :)

What is better Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow or Bayonetta or Dante's Inferno...?

I have played the demo's of all 3 games, but was not that impressed like I was when I played the God Of War Games.

I may hold off for a sub £15 price.

Voted Hot though.

Dante's Inferno is a poor God of War clone so not surprised you weren't impressed by that one. Bayonetta is more of a hardcore hack and slash and quite challenging so if your more of a casual gamer best to stay away, even though it is brilliant.

Castlevania probably comes closest to God of War in terms of storytelling and scale. It's beatifully told, looks gorgeous and the puzzles and combat are satisfying. Plus it's a meaty game. Many reviews have suggested a 12 hour playthrough on normal setting and that's without exploring every corner of the world. I'd reccomend it. It's a thinking man's hack and slash. At this price you can't go wrong, even if it fails to impress you.

It's finally below £20! Good things do come to those who wait. I knew I should have held off, but now I believe it is time to take that plunge :)

Think I'll wait for Vanquish to reach this price online before grabbing that to.

£34.99 Now.
#22
damn, it's gone up in price
#23
This needs to be unexpired. It's back to the sale price.
#24
I see £17.99, in stock...
#25
Looks like it's dropped back down again.

Someone at Play must of panicked with so many selling and thought it wa a price error.
#26
got a copy... will review it myself....

Well I had a good couple of hours on this when it arrived on Saturday, I was not impressed at all, however I did get £22 (store credit) for it when I traded it in at Blockbusters today and got a few Blu-Ray movies instead.
