Castrol GTX Magnatec 10w40 4l - £16.99 @ Tesco *Instore*

£16.99 @ Tesco
It might not be the best oil on the market, but if your not too fussed or just have a basic engine then this will do the trick. Clubcard points too! It's £20 in Asda for 4 litres.

I think I can only use Castrol Edge in my 10 plate Passat. Bloody expensive stuff.

Why is that never on offer??

:(

Thanks for posting this....have been shopping around the last few days to try and find oil for my car.

I was nearly going to buy Castrol GTX, the normal stuff, which is currently £3 a litre in Asda.....but being Magnatec I think it's worth spending an extra few quid

damn, my car takes 4.3 l :|

Buy two and use the left overs to top up your oil if you use any between services/oil changes.

just bought a vw touran diesel tonite, will this be ok for it
#6
Castrol produce a diesel version of the oil, I'm not sure what the price was for it at Tesco though.

Probably not - VW diesel engines are very fussy when it comes to oil.

:(

Also depends whether you are on a longlife service schedule or not - check your service book in the glovebox.

why has this gone cold?......normal price for this is about £28

Probably because people who don't bother to find any deals enjoy making things cold when clearly it's a good deal, whether its the best oil or not.
