Go on buy one or go and adopt one even better!!

Love my grey tabby charlie he's cuddled up next to me now!! :-D

Heat added!! will look, not got a cat flap yet.. thinking of getting one of those mico chipped enabled one's so if anyone knows of where to get cheap/good one let me know... this will be good for indoors between kitchen and utility as would put main one or back door.

I don't know about "mico chipped enabled one's" but years ago I bought one for about £30 that came with some coloured coded magnet to put on each cat collar. One cat refused to wear a collar and the second one kept losing the magnet from his, the third one developed OCD and was obsessed with making the cat flap "click" as he got nearer to it and would then move away, wait for the click then get close again. After a few weeks it was being used as a bog-standard cat flap, albeit with an expensive price tag and unnecessary power supply to it. :x

The most effective way to rid myself of unwanted visitors was a water pistol, fired at a persistent tom cat. Half a dozen spurts and he was gone for good! :whistling: Wished I'd gone for a cheap and cheerful cat flap like this from the outset.

H + R added.

Best thing you can buy for your cat is one of those exploding next bands as featured in many a sci-fi movie.

It would be set to explode if it even looked at a garden bird. One less cat, happy garden birds. It's a win-win scenario.

We use a cat flap for our Scottie. When her runs outside in the garden it sounds like he's going to toake the door off...lol. He is a FAT BOY though and still growing!

You buy these from Next? :-D

I'd rather fit exploding neck ones to the "Coffin Dodgers" next door, who hate my wonderful, noble, feline. :whistling:

My mates ex's mum used to put chili powder / sauce / water in a super soaker and spray it in the eyes of any cat that came into their garden! True story. Evil, evil woman.

A lot of heat gets lost with a cat flap. Should check out how good the seals are otherwise pay more money and get a better one.

I have no experience of this cat flap but be warned: you may end up cursing it. It's probably very badly made and if it doesn't fall apart will probably have very ineffective sealing so will let in a howling gale. At least examine it very carefully before purchase.

I actually need one of these (even though I don't have a cat!?) so thanks! :)

Do I put it in the front door or the back door... does it matter? Will it fit easier in one than the other?:whistling:

Went to two Poundlands today, none in either. Asked in both and was told they don't sell 'em at all. :(

Anyone fancy picking one up and sending if I cover postage? Still works out cheaper than the £8 one in Wilkos.

That's cruel!. We have one that's not ours, it comes around everyday without fail, meowing at the closed back door. Open the door and it's straight in!. Shout at it to go away, and it meows cutely so you feel sorry for it. I gave it a slice of meat from the fridge after it did this to me once, shame the meat was for a curry for our tea ( no one told me!) stupid thing it is!.

It locked me out the door once, wouldnt let me in. Again as i say, the cat isnt even mine:w00t:. Last week it was in the house, ignoring me for it to leave, sat on the stairs it was

Cats should be banned as they are too bossy and ignore me!! :santa:
