Cat Food 2p in Asda!

These are 100g pouches and are game and rabbit flavour. The lady in front of me bought a variety of different flavours and realised that the game and rabbit (blue pouch) were scanning at 2p a pack. She left the other flavours which were 14p and said she was going to get some more of the 2p ones! I'm not sure if this is nationwide.

I have got a PDSA (the vet charity) near me so I am going to pick up as many of these as I can and give them in - they always need stuff like food, blankets, etc..

They have seen my Mum's cat for free before and only asked for a donation of whatever you can afford.

Personally I'd be hopping mad  .

Yes it was an Asda own brand. The other "flavours" were 14p but this particular flavour was scanning at 2p.

Do you have a cat; my cat would NEVER eat the same flavour 2 meals in a row.
And she loves Asda’s pouches but now hates Whiskers, and thanks to this post I now know what to do with the 34 pouches of Whiskers I have on my hands give it to the PDSA:thumbsup:

Sweet! Breakfast, lunch and dinner- I make that 42p a week!! With a reduction like that in my weekly student food budget I can finally afford to live at the weekends again ;-)

I have 5 cats and they will all eat any old **** cat food I give then, which is good cos they only get the cheapest option available. It's either eat or the others beat you too it so it's no turning your nose up at dinner time.

I think the PDSA are brilliant. they treated my cat along time ago (but she had to be put down in the end) They were the best, like you said they only ask for a donation. Then i moved and i cant get one in my aera :-( . but everytime i see the men / women with the charity boxes i always give them something it is one charity i think is 100%

They are a great charity, just think what would happen to some of these animals without this free/reduced price care.

I just remembered years ago one in Essex we had to take my Sister-in Laws cat to at about 1 in the morning because it had been shot with a pellet gun and the pellet was lodged in its skin :x

We had to wake the emergency night time staff up - you could see that they were half asleep but they were so kind and friendly, and didn't ask for a penny or a donation.

I like my cat more than someone who feeds theirs junk like this.

#24
I tell you what slap some of that on some bread with a slice of cheese , grill it foe a few minutes and it makes a phenomenal sandwich, my mate just cant get enough of them.
#25
might go nicely with the 4p curry sauces! :-D

I bet my Asda won't have have any but I'll take a look. It's worth keeping a few of these by (check the use by date) for days when you go to the cupboard and find you've used the last tin, and it's midnight, and they won't stop yowling......

I'm sorry, I didn't realise this was a cat liking contest. Remember everyone, tenrohle likes cats - a lot, and that's official. The award will be presented by ex-champion Mrs Slocombe.

Well, you may joke, but you can actually get Cats now that don't have hair I think. Thy look rediculous mind you, and I think they're expensive!

I believe there is also a brred that has been genetically modified so that they don't shed their hair, these ever ludicrously expensive!

We have only had our rabbit a few months.

I had 2 cats when I was younger, my mum kept them when I moved out.

I would have bought them any cat food before, but am now considering whether I should be boycotting the rabbit flavour in order to protect Kipper's family.

Regarding the cat photo, that is a Sphynx cat - they are a hairless breed
#32
Aaaah, I didn't spot that THAT was the hairless breed that I mentioned!

I actually thought it was a statue! oh dear...!

I'll get my coat (unlike the cat...)

Its amusing how people think like this. Have you ever looked at the ingredients of cat food?

You'll find from the cheapest to the so-called premium (mini fillets or such toss) all have 'animal
derivatives of 4%' of the actual meat in the food.
Do you think you could taste the difference between 'flavours' with the amount of other **** they make the food up with?
#34
Did anyone other than the OP get this?
#35
Just been to Preston Asda and they dont sell the blue pouch idividually, just the green & pink ones I think :x

I didn't actually get it. I saw the lady in front of me get it.

anyone want a cat to go with the food?

i have a lovely black female 6m old, litter trained good with other pets and children. sadly i have to find her a new home, i have had a new baby 5wks ago and yesterday found the cat sleeping in babies moses basket (baby wasn't in it) but now im scared to put baby in it incase the cat sleeps on her, i will give her food bowls and food, litter tray and a radiator bed to her new owener so she settles right in. im so sad to be letting her go, but it's for my own piece of mind.
if anyone wants or knows anyone who will want her please pm me.
i will even deliver her. thanx

I was in ASDA for a newspaper and some milk earlier. Chatting up one of the staff (pretty, too much makeup) she said that it was not a misprice, they are just discontinuing that flavour in singles. They didn't have any :(
