I bought a couple of these. They are VERY long and good quality.

Also bought an optical lead for 95p

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0017RW94A/ref=oss_product

and an HDMI lead for 32p

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0017RW94A/ref=oss_product

They all worked perfectly well.

Another post for MemoryCapital! When a cheaper option on the same Marketplace item exists, with better reputation!

They're rep looks fine so what are you referring to?

I'd be wary of cheap cable, there is a review there that says it doesnt comply with the cat5e spec

Define "better reputation"? 96% based on 92 votes or 95% based on over 61,000 votes..I know which one I would pick!!! and yes it would cost me 1p more...

Neither are permissible, but moderators do nothing about it, and Memorycapital seem to win by sheer bulk of postings.... they can't have that many staff surely?

I ordered 3 of these earlier in the week when it was last posted on here, and they came within 72 hours.
I appreciate I haven't used them yet, but they appear to be what the say - so far I'm happy with them (them being the company).

Market Place sellers ARE allowed and have been for some time now. As long as the company has a good reputation then it's fine to post them. Mods DO check the posts and if not appropriate then they are removed.

Good point as I would too rather spend my hard earned money on good quality cables that comply Cat5e/Cat6 standards (using Gigabit Ethernet now) to ensure you get good signal & minimise transmission failure. Since copper conducts electricity better than aluminium, signal strength has shown to be very weak over long runs using substandard cables.

So what has happened to the 98% reputation?

Thats right when market place sellers first come on here it was about 98% or more, but it looks now that any market place seller can be put on here now.

nihcaj is referrring to the fact there are cheaper deals on the same page for the same item but the OP has gone for Memory Captial, which in their opinion makes it look like self promotion, which is not allowed on here...
#18
prepaymania just undercut them by 1p and is top of the amazon seller list
#19
why do people buy these I have about 10 of these and I tried to give em away and nobody bought em Do people still have wired connections. If you want one send me a stamped addressed envelope and i'll give you one
#20
@royboxer because wired connections are vastly superior to wireless though admittedly far less convenient

No, £2.24 there is such a thing as DELIVERY :;-(

Be careful - I bought three of these last year. I cut off the ends to use them as network cabling in my house only to find that none of the pairs were twisted (and the colour coding was non standard.) Good job I found out before burying them in the walls. I binned the lot and vowed never to buy cheap Cat5 again.

I disassembled one of these and they are not twisted pair, despite having UTP written on the packet.
